I used to like them very much until the other day the dentist went bat shit crazy on us. I questioned why a certain procedure had to be done which cost me a great deal of money when all they needed was to fill the tooth of my daughters. Apparently she didn't like to be questioned and basically told me she could no longer be my dentist and I was undermining her. Because of a mistake I believe they made, and I have an Endontist to back me up, it is cost us over $1,000. I wanted them to explain to me why this had to happen.

Obviously she didn't want to. So be prepared when you go in there, they're going to do what they damn well feel like. This is the second time something like this has happened. You've been warned

First off when we first ever came to this place I had to get a cavity filled and the dentist who was doing it didn’t give me any numbing stuff and basically told me to be quiet everytime I tried to get him to stop. after that things were fine until this one cavity I had they were going to “watch it” I ended up needing a root canal BECAUSE OF THEM. when I went back to get my crown put on the dentist threw my mother out for asking questions about everything saying she was “undermining” the dentist then I when I left she told me only for me to come back not my mother. Also how are you gonna charge someone 100 damn dollars if we don’t give you THREE day notice thats insane.

we will NEVER be coming back. this place is insane.

I've seen both dentists. I've got a great hygenist here. The scheduler, Katy is awesome. She is really helpful, kind and works hard for patients. Sign up for cleaning early as they book up quickly and book your next cleaning before you leave the office. It's not the offices fault that there are few dentist in Delaware, a fewer that take insurance, and they take care of everyone.

. What's great is they provide service to a diverse community. I love that the waiting room is like sitting in the United Nations. I love the personal care I get because I'm afraid of having my teeth cleaned. But im not scared here.

I recently moved from Baltimore to Delaware and needed a new dentist. Despite seeing existing negative reviews, I decided to try Southern Delaware Dental. During my consultation, Dr. Jinyu Sun informed me that I had four cavities and required treatment. This surprised me, as I haven’t had a cavity in over 30 years. Thankfully, I returned to my longtime dentist in Baltimore, who confirmed that I have NO cavities at all, and it was just staining. I’m very upset and deeply concerned about the accuracy of the diagnosis I received.

While I can’t speak for the other dentists at this office, my experience with Dr. Sun was extremely concerning. I strongly recommend finding another office or at the very least getting a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment here. My experience felt misleading and raises serious questions about trust and integrity. I would choose less than 1 star if it was an option.
