First I want to say that most of the staff is very friendly. But they do not have enough staff to handle the amount of patience they are excepting. I am supposed to get my teeth cleaned three times a year I am lucky to get it done twice. They canceled my appointment on a Friday afternoon that was scheduled for the following Monday 6/10 when I asked about a reschedule they said they can't get me in until January 2025.

I always felt like they where rushing when cleaning my teeth. Well today I went to a new dentist office and discovered that they where not cleaning my teeth properly and that there is a lot of additional bone loss because of improper cleaning. I just want to give someone a heads up. They have a large turn over of dental hygienist and they are forced to rush through the cleaning thus not giving us what we are paying for.

Find a dentist that cares about the true care of the patient more than volume, I did so glad I did praying that they are going to be able to slow down the bone loss with proper cleanings that I was literally paying extra for at southern dental and not getting. I had been going to Southern Dental for almost 4yrs.

I drove over an hour to get there for an appointment for my daughters. I took them out of school after missing so much due to Hurricane Helene. My husband had just suffered a major back injury the day before & I found someone to stay with him so I could make this appt for my daughters, and I walk in & they tell me they cancelled our appts due to having to “condense schedules”. I had no calls from them whatsoever. They claimed to call my phone but I got nothing.

They also had my husbands number & didn’t attempt call him either. They could have tried a little harder to contact me considering they had my address & knew I was traveling over an hour to get there. I am a medical receptionist myself and would never do the bare minimum to reach a patient knowing they were coming from that far away. I found another wonderful pediatric dentist for my daughters and am so glad I didn’t establish with southern dental.

Terrible at scheduling. Either they don't know how to do their job, or just too lazy. Will let you travel over an hour to get there, to tell you the appointment was canceled or rescheduled. They will then proceed to lie and say they tried to contact you. No calls, texts, emails, voicemail, nothing. Just lies and incompetency.
