Detailed Introduction

Southside Dental Care is a dedicated dental clinic situated at 3654 Gravois Ave, St. Louis, MO 63116. While a specific website for this exact location wasn't readily available, similar "Southside Dental" clinics often emphasize patient comfort, comprehensive care, and a welcoming environment. Based on the name "Southside Dental Care," it operates as a multi-dentist practice, functioning as a clinic rather than an individual practitioner's office. These types of clinics typically offer a wide array of general dentistry services. Common offerings include routine dental cleanings, thorough examinations, and preventative treatments like fluoride applications and sealants. For restorative needs, patients can expect services such as fillings (often tooth-colored composite), crowns, bridges, and extractions. Many modern dental clinics also incorporate advanced diagnostic tools like digital X-rays to ensure precise and early detection of oral health issues. Some may even provide emergency dental services for urgent concerns like toothaches or broken teeth. The focus is generally on maintaining long-term oral health for the entire family, catering to children, adults, and seniors. Payment options often include accepting various insurance plans (public and private) and, in some cases, offering sliding fee scales for uninsured or underinsured patients, demonstrating a commitment to accessibility. Patient testimonials for similarly named practices often highlight friendly staff, a comfortable atmosphere, and effective, gentle treatment.

The worse dental office all they like to do is take your money they don't even bother to speak to you about the procedures. Also they did some filling which they were super bad. I have to go to a different dentist to fix their mess. I will report them. Unprofessional they act like they are doing things for free. I ask to speak to a manager or the dentist did not even bother to speak to me. The secretary was the one speaking to me acting like she knew what was going on. One dentist and like 15 assistance they are horrible do not recommend at all.

Be really careful. Did fillings in like 20 minutes rushing did not even tell me he was done just left without saying anything. The assistance is so rough on your month. This place needs to be shut down. The dentist needs to go back to school and start caring about his patients and not just for the money. Everything sucks at that office. And the front desk lady suck too rude act like she knows what she doing.

I am unsure what to rate this dentistry. The dentist I had at my exam was great, the then different dentist i had when I had fillings done was also great interaction at the time but it's been two weeks and the issue with the tooth has just gotten worse. I called to ask about it and am met with a repeat of "if the filling was close to the nerve" from the receptionist.

When that doesn't answer or explain the issue with feeling pain, finding chipped pieces of the filling in my food when eating on that side. I've had fillings done on that side that have been close to nerve and yes there is pain from that I've experienced before but with the tooth I tried to explain more but she once again repeated a the previous response but just with more annoyance in her voice. Then tells me the doctor is in and I can walk in and get it checked out, which news to me I was unaware that was a possibility till i asked when i could be seen, but she didn't inform me, she just repeated the same script response.

So I needed a painful tooth pulled I went to Southside dental they told me I have to cure the infection 1st then come back & get a teeth cleaning. So I did 2 weeks later I come back the do more X-ray. Then they tell me I needed a heavy cleaning (which I more expensive then regular cleaning btw even with insurance ) I believe that’s a trick to get more money it took her 5 mins to clean my Teeth. Told me they done I with to the front desk & asked abt my teeth pulling she said “oh we do that here you need a teeth specialist we recommend. So basically if i would’ve know that @ 1st I would’ve never with to Southside Dental I would’ve found a Dentist who did everything. But they want your money.

. They tell me after taking my money. I would never go back. I got insurance & still paid $300 & my tooth never got pull bro smh. .

They did okay on basic cleaning. Everyone is pretty friendly for the must part. But today I got cavities filled (for the first time ever) and it was a terrible experience. First they didn't numb me enough so I started to feel the drilling which was I'm sure an honest mistake. But they forgot to fix my chip in my front tooth which was the whole reason I even came in. I asked them and they acted like it would be an inconvenience for me to make them do the front.

I said okay in the moment because I didn't want to be a pain. But then I started feeling my fillings they did and they feel terrible in my mouth. Sharp edges and uneven product. I had to ask twice for him to smooth it out and even then it still is very sharp against my tongue and doesn't feel right. I tried one last time to get them to fix it and they told me I just need to get used to it and give it time. I left with tears in my eyes clearly upset about it and they didn't care.

No one wanted to listen to my concerns or offer any help. The dentist was nice enough but I think maybe he is old school in his ways and maybe isn't as up to date on his training. My teeth feel horrible and no one cared. I would not recommend this office for anything other than basic cleaning.
