We took both our kiddos here when we moved to the area. Every visit we left with them needing something-more cavities each visit, and we are brushers and flossers. My gut was telling me something was off. . and it didn’t sit well that we couldn’t be in the room with kids during any procedure (fillings, etc).

Fast forward to now. We’ve been to our new dentist for a year now, both kids have had bad cavities and required small root canals as a result of fillings not placed properly, which chipped and/or broke/fell out completely. Not saying that’s 100% to blame, but it sure doesn’t help. Not happy!

I'm so impressed by Dr. Siegel, her staff, and their office. The kid-friendly environment is super fun, but as a parent, what I loved most was the compassion and empathy shown to my daughter by every staff member we encountered. Everything was discussed openly, in an upbeat, fun manner that was age appropriate and incredibly informative. I highly recommend!

This office was great when we were just getting cleanings. The dental hygienists were sweet and wonderful with kids. Dr. Siegel was good with them too. It wasn’t until after my toddler had to get a few fillings that I decided to leave this office, being highly unsatisfied. My toddler needed sedation because of her age and the number of fillings. After the sedation was administered, I was told that I could not stay with her. She has half a heart and has had 4 open heart surgeries with a complex circulation. I expressed my concern to the staff that she is complex and they don’t know her normals.

They told me that I could come and sit with her in the room until Dr. Siegel came. I again expressed my concern about leaving her sedated and how unstable her circulation is. Dr. Siegel refused to let me stay. I tried to ramble off her normal vital signs, things to look for, etc. and it was dismissed. I had to decide between canceling the procedure (after giving her an unnecessary dose of sedation) or leaving my daughter’s side. After I started crying, Dr.

Siegel poorly sympathized with me stating “a mother’s love is amazing”. Eye roll- I am a medical mom advocating against my medically complexed daughter being UNNECESSARILY left with people who don’t know a thing about her circulation, while being consciously sedated. I was highly unsatisfied with my experience. I believe Dr. Siegel chose her preference over patient safety. Note: This office will not let you stay with your child ( not matter the age or reason) during any kind of procedure or fillings.

I was absolutely blown away by the patience, attention and kindness that Dr. Satterfield-Siegel and her staff showed my special needs daughter at our appointment today. She listened to my concerns, gave me great advice, and really engaged with my kid so that my daughter felt safe, comfortable and welcome.

Our last few dental experiences have been nowhere close to this, and I am so happy that we've found Dr. Satterfield-Siegel!
