The team at SDG is amazing! They work very well together. I had to have a root canal with Dr. Desta - which, if I had to have another one, he’s the guy to go to! Explained everything, every step of the way. Also had a wonderful experience with the dental hygienists/assistants and Dr. Popa over multiple appointments. At each appointment, the team was meticulous with fitting a temporary crown and ultimately a permanent crown.
The team made sure I was aware of the plan of care and overall, what to expect as the outcome. They made me aware of potential future issues with my teeth that I should be on the lookout for. They made me feel very comfortable during those lengthy appointments. Couldn’t ask for a better team. Thank you so much SDG!

The office has lost any resemblance of a "family" dentist. It has become very cooperate/industrial. I could overhear the Dr. with other patients, it seem to me you are pushing to have everything that is a problem corrected and everything that could become a problem in 10 years or so, be done now too. I heard one patient get recommended 2 root canals and 2 crowns. He claimed he was having no issues when he came in. Another patient was recommended 2 root canals, 3 crowns and the removal of 2 wisdom teeth.
After listening it sounds like filling a cavity and monitoring the other "issues" would be an option but would eventually need to be redone. That could be years down the road. Your walls are thin, and I feel you use fear of what MAY happen in the future, as a sales point. I traveled and hour to an hour and a half to see Dr. Dinkins. I wont be making that trip for you.

Comparing this visit w historical visits, this didn't feel as thorough. Would have appreciated Dr. Dinkin stopping in to chat as always had done. I felt no real attachment. Dr. who came in at end never introduced himself other than saying, " hello, I'm the Dr" No name given (had to ask front desk on way out). Dr.
wasn't as thorough. Didn't appreciate listening to Dr. explain to another patient her choices w her issues, over and over again. This conversation should've been had in private. Hopefully future visits will feel more comfortable. Front desk staff, very personable, welcoming.

It was excellent! It was my first time with Dr. Popa, and he was highly skilled, meticulous, clear in his communications, attentive and patient-centered. The procedure was replacement of a crown, so it was fairly involved. I barely felt the injection of novocaine, and barely any minor discomfoet.
over the course of the over hour long procedure. He also thought to see if my existing retainer could be modified by the manufacturer, rather than having to get an entirely new set. He could not have been better! Highly recommend!
