I contacted this office with a problem following a horrendous experience at another local dentist. It had taken 5 visits to get a crown properly seated, multiple issues during that time and shortly after the "final" visit, the surrounding gums started to swell, bleed and were painful. I couldn't say for sure what the issue was but in 7 prior crowns (the 1st by that other dentist) I had never experienced the issue and pain I was having. Springfield Dentistry got me right in despite not being their patient and I saw Dr. K who was so kind and had maybe the best "bedside manner" of any dentist I've had. He confirmed there was an infection and came up with a plan of attack.

First he'd prescribe some antibiotics and then I would return so he could remove this crown as that seemed like the best way to really make sure any issues were addressed. When I returned after a week on the meds, he made sure I was extremely numb and decided to first get up under the gum and make sure everything was ok. He ended up finding three little balls of cement the other dentist had left under my gum which was causing the problem. He decided then to hold off on replacing the crown and to let my gums settle for a bit because they had really gone up in there. He felt that the cement was the issue and that I may not need a replacement after all. Well, after several days my gums started to feel better and I haven't had an issue with that tooth since.

They knew I was willing to pay out of pocket for a new crown (as my insurance wouldn't pay for a replacement just months after they paid for the first) if that meant fixing the issue for food. They could have easily just taken my money but they didn't. They made sure I, the patient, was okay without taking advantage of me. In turn they got a new patient in me and my family. I am greatly appreciative of the way they addressed my issue.

As timing would have it. . it was a Friday at 11am…most dental offices are closed or close early on Fridays. I called the office in severe pain. They were so accommodating and told me to come in. The kind assistant took an X-ray with the understanding of my pain/discomfort. She was so nice and made me feel comfortable. This was my very 1st time to the practice. Dr.

Mike came in & greeted me kindly. He diagnosed my condition & gave me some options to think about. He took the time to adjust my bite so I would not have contact with the tooth that was killing me. He offered local anesthesia, anything I needed. Patient and kind. . Truly great experience. Thankful!!

I was super nervous about getting my wisdom teeth extracted, especially since I have swallowing anxiety, but Dr. Bauer was very patient and kind and made sure I was fully numb before the procedure. At every step he told me what he was doing and gave me the freedom to take breaks as needed. I would recommend him for anyone.

I recently had some work done at Springfield Dentistry and wanted to share how happy I am with the results. I had a crack in one of my front teeth which needed to be fixed sooner or later. Dr. Baura was able to restore that tooth and 3 others to match.

The result is so natural that nobody has noticed I had new teeth! I couldn't be happier with Dr. Michael Baura, DMD, and everyone at Springfield Dentistry. It's a great office for your dental needs.
