Shawn Stopperich, a native of Canonsburg, PA, has been practicing in McMurray since 1999. He completed his undergraduate education at Duquesne University and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1993. He furthered his training with an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and completed his residency at the University of Florida in 1998. Dr. Stopperich is a fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS). He has been recognized as a top Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon by Pittsburgh magazine and is actively involved in promoting continuing education for the local dental community. Dr. George Koutras earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the Ohio State University. He completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery non-categorical internship in Wilmington, Delaware, and his residency certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Koutras is also a diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS). He has conducted extensive research in oral cancer chemoprevention and opioid management.
