I went to my regular cleaning and was ready to have an appointment for a crown when I was told I needed to pay a deposit for the appointment. The deposit was over $1000. dollars I found this to be very insulting as I’ve always paid for my services in full at the time of treatment. If I trust you enough to have you treat me , I expect you to trust me to show up and pay for your services.

I feel I can not trust a practice that demands a deposit for an appointment that is a month or more out. I felt the care was excellent but this policy has caused me to find a new provider.

I have severe dental anxiety and had avoided the dentist like the plague. I did lots of research and Sunshine offered online appointment requests, emergency appointments and easy communication for someone like me. The first time I came to Sunshine Dental, was because of an emergency root canal. They got me in quickly as a new patient, put me on antibiotics and then performed a root canal as soon as the infection went away. I then avoided returning to the dentist because of my anxiety. Almost a year later, I made a new appointment because I could no longer tolerate the discomfort from avoiding the dentist.

I required an extensive amount of work, I knew I needed it. I am incredibly grateful for how quickly Dr. Mertz and her staff were able to get me in. They scheduled me ahead of time for all of my appointments to help facilitate the process for me, it was so helpful. Their financing options were also great to see, I found them helpful and have mentioned these options to friends. I appreciated seeing Ayla during every visit, she offered consistency and calmness for someone like me.

So incredibly kind! Dr. Mertz is personable and kind, she never made me feel bad. My teeth feel so much better! I am so grateful for the experience and support. Thanks Sunshine! ☀️ I highly recommend Sunshine to anyone who experiences dental anxiety or has teeth. ✨
