Staff is great but the billing is the worst experience I have ever had. First of all, their estimates vs actuals are nowhere near each other. I had a lot of work done with an estimate of $700, I ended up paying $1,500 OOP. They'll blame the insurance company, but it's really just incompetence on their end for not doing their due diligence in working with insurance to ensure estimates are as accurate as possible. Bills keep coming in, there doesn't seem to be a clear process on how to bill their patients, they just see a number and bill, then they'll bill again for another invoice they see months later.

Again, it's incompetence without a system that ensures patients are billed in a timely manner. Even though Tend is an in network office, they booked my wife with an out of network dentist, and then tried to upcharge us for her cleaning (which is 100% covered). Still fighting them on this one, but again, incompetence of not working with insurance and ensuring everything is sorted before taking in patients. As you can read from the above, the main theme here is incompetence. Their billing system is completely flawed, they don't know what they are doing, and they just expect you to figure it out for them.

My wife calls to sort it out, they tell her they can't deal with her because she is not the policy holder. I call, they tell me I can't deal with it because I don't have authorization from her. Then they tell me insurance needs to call them to sort out billing, insurance says that is NEVER the case and if an office has a billing question, they reach out. Oh and I gave them a check that I confirmed with insurance was cashed by Tend, but billing tells me they have no record of a check, classic. Don't waste your time here, it's a nice looking office, the front staff, hygienists and dentists are all lovely and great, but they decided to hire people off the street for billing, so all your good thoughts about Tend will erode over the months and months you need to deal with the unexplainable bills
