Detailed Introduction

The Chautauqua Center (TCC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that was founded in 2013 to address the significant shortage of healthcare professionals and services in the rural area of Chautauqua County, New York. The center's mission is to deliver comprehensive, high-quality, patient-centered health and support services to the region. Starting with a single location in Dunkirk, TCC has expanded its services and physical footprint significantly over the years. It now operates multiple clinics in Dunkirk and Jamestown, providing a wide array of services including: Medical: primary care, pediatrics, women's health, family planning, nutrition, and chiropractic care. Dental: General dentistry services are available to patients. behavioral health: Mental health services, substance abuse programs, and care coordination. Specialty Services: The center also offers physical and pediatric occupational therapy, rheumatology, and podiatry. Support Services: In addition to clinical care, TCC assists with health insurance enrollment, offers a sliding fee scale for those who qualify, and provides transportation aid and Spanish translation to ensure accessibility for all community members. The Chautauqua Center is committed to being a patient-centered medical home (PCMH), a designation it achieved in 2017. This reflects a commitment to advanced primary care by taking extra steps for patients and the community. The center's dedication to the community is also demonstrated through its proactive outreach and partnerships with local organizations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, TCC was a key player in providing testing and vaccinations to the community. Well, I made three appointments to see the dentist and another appointment for a teeth cleaning a little under a year ago, now. Finally just had them. One, was cancelled the day of because the dentist didn't come in that day. Did anyone think to call the patients? Nope. I drove 1h40min just to wait in the waiting room for 25 more mins until someone FINALLY came out and told me the dentist wasn't coming in. Now, if the roles were reversed I would have had to pay a fee for missing my appointment. . . But hey, the joys of not having options, eh? Second visit, my teeth cleaning, went well, but the only person I saw was the hygienist, so that's probably why, and she is probably the only good thing about that place. She was SUPER nice and fun to talk to. Got some X-rays taken of my teeth since my first visit(10 months prior to this) their X-ray machine was broken and they couldn't do it then. . . Then came my second appointment with the dentist. . . They called me the day before, telling me that the dentist wasn't going to be in that morning, but wondered if I could come in later that day. . . So, I did. Just to be told that she couldn't do any work that day, and she told me she needed X-rays taken of my teeth.

. . I was like, "I was just here 2 weeks ago and they took X-rays" So then she looked at my file and was like. . . . Surprised? I don't know. Thought it was normal practice to check a patient's file before talking to them. I mean. . . So, I ended up leaving that day with nothing done except a little scraping on one of my problem teeth and like, temporary filling that fell out before I even got home. Mind you, this appointment had been made 10 months ago, and they decided they couldn't get any of the work I needed done. . . And now, we reach my last appointment, which just happened yesterday. I arrived early, as I always do because I'm strict about that, my appointment was at 11, they didn't call me back until 11:35. I expected them to be loaded with patients and that's why it was taking so long. . . nope.

I was the only one back there when they came to get me. So anyways, I have a few cavities that I would like taken care of before my teeth get worse. And that's what I thought we'd be doing. But she decides she doesn't want to do any work in my mouth until I see an orthodontist. . . . Who wouldn't even touch my mouth until all cavities are taken care of in the first place. . . . So, she decides she's going to put a filling in my ONE front tooth, since that's the one I'm most worried about. She drills into it, decides that since I'm feeling pain(even though she didn't use any novacaine, and even with novacaine, I need a heavy dose because I'm super sensitive to mouth pain and have a high tolerance to drugs) that since I'm flinching from the pain of her drilling into my tooth, that it must be a root canal and now I suddenly have to see someone else for that too and sent me on my Merry way with a hole drilled in the back of one of my top canines. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Like I said, the only saving grace for me was the hygienist. I will be Canceling all my appointments and never going back. I'll find someone else who will actually do the work and not jerk me around. I'm 33, I don't want to see an orthodontist and get braces. I just want my cavities taken care of so I can go back to chewing my food without pain. I really hope no one else gets stuck dealing with this crap and I hope people who see this save themselves the pain of dealing with this place.

I dont known where to even start. Very hard to talk with any staff on the phone, cant make f/u appointments, never receive call back, numerous medication errors, are just a few of the things we delt with.

Stopped going to the clinic over a year ago and still get reminder calls to make an apt! Received one today! Poorly ran and the things that I compained about, were NEVER addressed. Its very sad as its a new place, yet no one cares about the patients!

Tanya Lack 3 reviews 10 hours ago New I'm not too impressed, even tho the dentist Dr.

Hong seemed very knowledgeable, I hate to say that she was not to skilled when it comes to pulling teeth, I had to have a tooth pulled and it was one in the front of my mouth too and she was not to smooth when extracting it and even did kinda of a butcher job cutting the surrounding gum, and then did not even offer anything for pain not even ibprofen, NOTHING! So I won't be getting another extraction done at this place again that's for sure, man I really hope she does a better job on my fillings than she did on the extraction because I have upcoming appointments for those too and if it's anything like that she's gonna loose clients facts, Update on condition I think she also messed up where she put the novacaine too and hit a nerve in my face because now my upper lip I notice is still very very sensitive and swollen so I'm really hoping that goes back to normal !
