Two days ago I had a root canal with Dr Royal for a calcified tooth. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the procedure was easy and completely pain free. Two days later I haven't felt even the slightest discomfort. The assistant also did an exceptional job explaining exactly what was going to happen and what I could expect. Both Dr Royal and his assistant have 20+ years of experience. I got in right away for a consult but it did take a couple months to get an appointment for the root canal itself.

I can't complain--my discomfort beforehand was minimal so I don't mind waiting. I've heard they can get people in much faster if they're in more pain than I was. All in all an easy experience, much to my surprise. Root canals get a worse reputation than they deserve. Highly recommend

In May I got my permanent retainer glued back on at the Woodbury location. It had broken loose after having it for 15 years. The experience was very poor and the services cost double what they should have. After that whole ordeal, three months later my retainer completely broke off my teeth again. I was very upset. I called the clinic back. I got an appointment at the Roseville location.

I arrived and Jessica took great care of me. She got the retainer glued back on. She even said she was going to use a different, stronger glue this time. She was very kind, very professional, and very efficient. I really appreciate the experience she provided me with. I highly recommend the Roseville location if you choose to use the services of The Dental Specialists.

High way robbery !!!! Dr Ridgeway ….i almost spent 5 grant from my pocket my son’s dental extraction in children’s after two dental insurance payout. I am sharing my experience so that other parents can check out with other dentist too…. Hope my review encourage and inspire you to look for other dentist too.

The 1 star reviews are correct. Shady practice here. Ladies at front desk knew my insurance wouldn't cover anything. 1st lady wanted to scan my insurance card but I forgot to bring it. Then said it was OK, just fill out these forms and bring it in next time. That was the 1st red flag.

I was given a quote by a 2nd lady for wisdom tooths being pulled. She said "your insurance has a good chance of covering the cost". That's how they bait you. Wouldn't be surprised if people at front desk get commission or have been told their jobs are on the line if traffic is low.
