Always a long wait time, always an excuse. Canceled on me day of appointment. My time is too valuable to waste there. Time to find another practice that respects my time.

DO NOT GO HERE. THERE ARE BETTER DENTISTS IN THE AREA They do round robin with the dentists, if you are lucky enough to get a dentist. Otherwise its a 'nurse practitioner' that is green as they come. I asked for same dentist to do all work for my daughters root canal. Dr Matkov. Mr. Matkov canceled appointments twice. Once because of snow, which is fine. Once because he really wanted to go to some class. Not cool. You made the appointment, honor it. When it was finally time to put the cap on the tooth, I requested Mr. Matkov do the work.

I'm Later on that night, my daughter complained that the cap 'shifted'. I am attempting to schedule a new appointment with Mr. Matkov. He doesn't work weekends (must be nice), and even though the office is open till 8PM on Thursdays; he seems to not be able to work past 5. SHADY SIDE NOTES: 1. ) I always seem to have to have my bills re-submitted. I talked to a friend of mine and he said that is a tell tale sign that an office is double billing. 2. ) I paid for the root canal upfront, but when it came time to get the cap; they tried to get me to pay, AGAIN. When I told them that you better check you records because I KNOW I paid that already, they miraculously found the 'note' on my account. 3. ) They have a lot of nurse practitioners here. This is prob why they like to randomize the dentist you see.

So that the can pass off a nurse practitioner when an experienced dentist is needed. TLDR: I thought using the same dentist for all the work would increase the quality of work and limit my daughters discomfort. I could not have been more wrong. Mr. Matkov's availability and dedication to patients leaves much to be desired. Sadly, he is the best dentist of what's left here. Over the last 5 years there has been a steady parade of good dentists leaving this practice. I should have read the writing on the wall. Once I am out from under the root canal for my daughter, I will be calling Dental Health Care Associates on Chichester Av. My brother loves them.

The receptionists are rude. I tried to get information to have a joint procedure done with another specialist and nobody would get the information I needed. After trying a few times, they provided info with a procedure I had already had done and got irate when I tried to explain that it wasn't what I needed. At one appointment I had a rough edge on my tooth and they told me to make an appointment to come back and have it filed down.

When I asked if there was any way it could just be done while I was sitting there, they spent the 30 seconds it took to smooth it out. Twice when I was getting fillings they filled the tooth and told me to bite down. When I did that the filling broke off and needed to be done again. They blamed me saying I bit down to hard, but I would think there shouldn't be a big hanging piece that would splinter off when I'm biting down.

Especially since I can't feel anything because I'm numb so how do I know if I'm biting down too hard. It's such a pain to find a good dentist that I wanted to give a review so folks don't waste their time going here only to get the poor service I received.
