I and my wife were looking for a dentist who could fix some of our long pending dental issues, after an extensive research decided on Dr Pooja for our treatment. Scheduling an appointment online was easy and from the time we entered her office until we left Dr Pooja & her team were very courteous, helpful and friendly. This is a review of my appointment on 8/15/2024, during which I had 2 teeth removed by Dr. Banga. Contrary to the accusation in the response from the business, I absolutely am a patient of record and have no connection to any current or past employees. Nice try, trying to discredit me, though. Just more proof. The big takeaway here: I am terrified of dental work, and if you are, too, do not go to Dr. Banga! She will make your worst nightmare a reality. At my consultation, Dr. Banga promised that she would be able to accommodate my 2 biggest needs: 1. I didn't want to be awake/aware when the teeth were being removed; and 2. I didn't want to see blood, and absolutely not the teeth, afterwards.

I thought that these were simple requests, and Dr. Banga acknowledged my fears and requests and gave me an extremely false sense of confidence in what was going to happen. She didn't explain ANYTHING. I thought maybe that was her way of not freaking me out, but now I see that it was just laziness on her part, as well as pushing her wishes and disregarding that of the patient. She also didn't give me an option for how I would be sedated, she just told me what would be best (without explaining it), and I trusted her because she promised that she would meet those 2 big needs. My appointment started off with a HUGE and completely avoidable miscommunication and inconvenience with the medication for the procedure. Not a great start. I should have spoken up about my discomfort in the fact that the person assisting with the procedure didn't even know how to take or write down my blood pressure (not a very professional look). Unfortunately, I didn't get the opportunity to speak up, as Dr. Banga didn't even make an appearance until about 5 minutes before she ripped my teeth out, and I was in such a panic over the medication miscommunication (which she didn't bother to come out and clear up herself) that I wasn't thinking clearly. During the procedure, which I was completely awake and aware for, which was absolutely horrifying to me, Dr.

Banga told me to "shhh" and that "that doesn't hurt," while HER pliers were in MY mouth. I was making involuntary panicked groans, and she told me to shush. I was CLEARLY panicking, and she belittled that. She was cruel to me. I had my eyes closed, of course, and was crying, and she said "you can open your eyes now! Look!" And showed me the teeth, which of course were covered in blood (the exact thing she promised I wouldn't have to experience, and she rubbed it in my face!). I was HORRIFIED!!! I felt like she was taunting me! She then left the room and I didn't see her again, and was rushed out of the office by her staff. The aftercare instructions were inadequately explained, and I spent probably two and a half hours after the procedure bleeding. It was, hands down, one of the worst experiences of my life, and I wouldn't wish it on ANYONE. I later found out that the drug I was given (an oral anesthetic, instead of Nitrous, which would have been the obvious choice for someone with my level of anxiety and my 2 biggest needs that she promised she would accommodate) is akin to what they give women during childbirth so that they forget the pain, and that's left me wondering if she treated me so cruelly because she didn't think I would remember it. Unfortunately for her, I do. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOURSELF!!!
