Excellent Dental Experience! I had a fantastic experience at the Smilist of Somerset. Dr. Molesphini and the staff are fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was warm and welcoming. Dr. Molesphini was incredibly professional and kind.

He took the time to explain everything clearly before starting, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire appointment. What impressed me most was how the team truly cared about my dental health, not just rushing me through. I highly recommend the Smilist of Somerset to anyone looking for a trustworthy, friendly, and knowledgeable dental team. I’ll definitely be coming back for my future checkups!

Update: The morning after posting my initial review, the receptionist contacted me with a same-day appointment (Saturday). I was able to get a quick and satisfactory cleaning and exam from both the hygienist and the dentist. While I appreciated the opportunity to be seen sooner, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the frustration caused by the previous scheduling issues, leaving me with lingering concerns. My next appointment remains scheduled far beyond the recommended six-month interval, in December. As a result of this recent experience, I've raised my review from one to three stars. However, I am still strongly considering finding a dental practice closer to my home for greater flexibility and accommodation in the future, as the scheduling inconsistencies remain a significant concern. Original Review: I'm finding it hard to make sense of all these positive reviews with my recent experiences at this location. While the office is modern and clean, and my initial appointments a few years ago were efficient and professional, things have drastically changed. My wife, a long-term patient, initially raved about this place, which is why I became a patient.

We utilize their Smilist Plan Couples Plan, which used to be a straightforward, affordable way to cover our two annual cleanings and one x-ray, along with a discount for other dental procedures. Living in New York and working in Brooklyn, scheduling on Saturdays is essential for my routine cleanings. However, over the past year, the significant hygienist turnover and lack of staffing has led to constant appointment cancellations and rescheduling. Their current solution – a text message waiting list where the fastest responder gets the slot – feels unprofessional and inconvenient, especially compared to a direct call. As not everyone is glued to their phone all day during business hours. Despite scheduling my cleaning over six months prior, the next available appointment is now going to be over a year away from my initial cleaning. For a routine six-month cleaning, this delay is simply unacceptable from a dental practice. Another frustrating aspect is the Smilist Plan's expiration policy. Despite being a service-based plan for two cleanings, it expires annually, meaning if you can't secure both appointments, you lose out on prepaid services.

This happened to my wife last year. It's baffling that they seem to have ample availability for Invisalign consultations that they frequently text about, but not for routine cleanings for existing, paying patients. Furthermore, managers are consistently unavailable, and promised callbacks rarely materialize. My experiences with family-owned dentists in Brooklyn were far more professional. This practice has declined significantly, and I will not be renewing my Smilist Plan. I would advise others seeking a flexible, accommodating dental practice that honors its services and appointments to look elsewhere.

The staff were really nice and clear. Doctor Elisa was great. Had a filling for my cavities and couldn’t use the numbing cream and only used the numbing needle. Barely felt it with how careful she was. Very thankful for that and just all in all, a great experience.

The dentists and hygienists are so gentle here, always concerned about my comfort! Reception staff is wonderful! Always pleasant and happy, accommodating with appointments, and clearly explain the billing. Everyone seems happy to work here, which sets a very comfortable tone. I highly recommend this dental office!
