My children are currently enrolled in the Healthy Smiles Program, and we visited this clinic for what we expected to be a routine check-up and cleaning. To my surprise, one of my children was taken for an X-ray immediately—before anyone had even looked in his mouth. It felt premature and unnecessary. There was no clear explanation of any additional procedures, so I assumed it was just the basic cleaning covered by the program. However, as we were about to leave, the receptionist suddenly told me that Healthy Smiles wouldn’t cover the full amount and that I’d need to pay an extra $50 for both kids. While $50 isn’t a huge amount, the way it was brought up last minute was off-putting.

When I hesitated, she quickly changed her mind and said, “Never mind, you’re good—no need to pay anything. ” That shift in tone raised red flags. It didn’t feel like a simple misunderstanding—it felt like they were testing whether I’d pay without asking questions. And it made me wonder how many other families using the program have been put in the same position. What makes this even more disappointing is that this clinic is one of the very few that still accepts the Healthy Smiles Program. That’s what makes this behavior even more concerning.

Families rely on this program to access dental care without unexpected costs or pressure. If you’re considering this clinic, please be cautious. Ask clear questions, don’t be afraid to speak up, and keep an eye on any unexpected charges. Transparency matters—especially when dealing with programs meant to help children.

I had a dental appointment with Dr. Rand, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Her work is incredibly neat, professional, and efficient. She was very cooperative and kind throughout the whole process, always explaining every step she was taking in a calm and reassuring way. I truly appreciated how understanding and gentle her approach was. I actually drove 5 hours just to get my dental work done with her — and it was absolutely worth it. I’m extremely satisfied with the results.

The entire clinic staff was respectful and welcoming, which made the experience even better. A special shoutout to her assistant, Zeina, who was also very skilled, kind, and attentive. I felt completely comfortable and well taken care of with both of them. I highly recommend Dr. Rand and Zeina if you’re looking for exceptional dental care!

I highly recommend Dr Rand in tooth corner as a wonderful dentist, she always makes you feel better , her work perfect, the minimum time and minimum pain.
