Concerned Citizen

This dentist will put fluoride and sealants on your kids teeth WITHOUT your permission and he doesn't care if your insurance covers it or not! He's only looking to make more money for himself. He definitely does NOT care about your kids! In response to the reply: No I will not be taking this review down. In fact, the more I think about it the angrier I am that I didn't trust my gut about this place. The dentist never, not one time, asked me if my kids can have fluoride. He swiped it on sneakily so he can bill insurance. Even worse than that, he put sealants on 2 of my kids' teeth and told me about it after he did it. I am pretty sure that's not how informed consent works. He had time to talk about his kids and show me pictures of his baby but he didn't have time to ask me PRIOR to applying an unnecessary and unwarranted treatment to my kids teeth??!? Then charging me almost $900 when my insurance doesn't cover a single bit of it? I'm sure most people love this place because their insurance covers whatever treatment the dentist wants to do to cover his overhead costs but I can tell you, I won't be back and I recommend everyone do your research about fluoride and unnecessary treatments to your children's teeth before you decide to come to this business.

It's pretty wild that every time we go, there is no hygienist, no secretary, and no other patients. Then the dentist does treatments to my kids teeth that will make him thousands of dollars. Why overbook patients when you can just do a bunch of unnecessary treatments and procedures to kids teeth and hope their parents are just too uneducated to check their EOB. I love how you implied I am just an angry uneducated parent but I can clearly see this is normal practice for you. My children didn't need any treatments on their teeth. They've never even had a single cavity. And prior to going to your office their last dentist never once gave them fluoride because it is unnecessary! Too bad he retired and now we are back to square one at finding a decent caring dentist who isn't trying to cover his overhead costs and mortgage by taking advantage of the most vulnerable population. Kids.

By the way, they're MY kids. I get to say what happens to their teeth, not you. You don't get to decide what treatments they get then tell me later about it. I wonder if the AG would like to know about your shady business practices of doing procedures/treatments to kids teeth without permission or approval from the parents? Then leaving parents with a huge bill for these unnecessary treatments. You should be sad, and ashamed, and I sincerely hope you get the karma you deserve.

Im not usually one to give reviews but wanted to take a few minutes to brag about Dr. Lipoff. Trusting someone with your 9 week old is never easy but he and his staff are truly amazing. I would recommend him and his office to anyone.

This is the most incredible dentist and medical office in general we have ever been to! I could not be more thrilled with the care given to us by Dr. Lipoff. This office was professional, extremely nice and so kind/welcoming. As a nervous momma of 3, it is always a task to take my children to the doctor but this experience could not have been better. Thank you so much Theo Pediatric Dentistry!
