This place is amazing! Scheduling and the appointments itself has never beene a problem, they are very flexible with hours and it is amazing that they have two locations based on where you live! The staff is very nice and professional and I have never had a problem with anyone!

I am writing this review to warn other potential customers about the lack of price transparency of Thomas Orthodontic services. Even though I received great service for my first child, I got a consultation for the second child earlier based on recommendations that orthodontic work would be better, cheaper, and less evasive if started early due to reducing the amount of work that would be needed if we waited. I signed up for a phase 1 treatment plan for my second child for what seemed like a reasonable price, and we have been in a 2 visit/year maintenance while waiting for the rest of the teeth to come in. Now that we are ready to begin phase 2, I was shocked to see that I was quoted a second treatment plan that was just shy of $2000 more than my first child that did not include any discounts for work that was already completed in phase 1. When I contacted the office staff with questions and additional rationale, they told me that the treatment fee differences were for inflation in costs and due to multi-phase treatment.

They said that multi-phase approaches were mentioned in the fine print of the terms and conditions, which I had to agree to before signing up. They refused to provide an itemized or detailed explanation of the reasons for similar services between my two children, one continuous and one split into two phases that would justify the over $2000 price difference. They were quite rude in their responses that this was due to being a separate phase and there wasn’t any other way to explain the differences. I felt penalized, cheated, and deceived by this multiphasic orthodontic approach that was supposed to benefit me and my child’s experience. They lure customers in with a promise of better cost and experience outcomes but then charge an extra treatment fee that makes the entire service much more expensive than if you just wait and do the full service in one phase.

This is a dishonest and unethical business practice that should not be tolerated. I advise anyone who is considering orthodontia work for their children to be aware of multiphasic approaches and ask questions, you should not be penalized for splitting treatments when they are meant to save you time and money.

My son got his braces last summer and we have been impressed with the care & attention of the staff at Thomas Orthodontics. Everything is clearly communicated. Their office itself is also top-notch, very clean & inviting.
