I’m so happy I made the move to Dr. Scherer. After leaving the amazing dentist I had since childhood due to location, I had a negative experience with dental work. For almost a year following, I couldn’t decide on another new dentist. I’ve heard way too many stories from people whose dentists are first and foremost business people, and sometimes scammers. After reading (every. single. ) review on Dr.

Scherer, I finally decided to call her office. My positive experience started with Raizelle, the office manager, who is extremely friendly, communicative and organized. I could tell within seconds of meeting Dr. Scherer that I’ll stick with her as my dentist long term. She exudes trustworthiness and competence and cares about her patients. Highly recommend.

Dr. Karen Scherer is an amazing dentist and a an even better person. I have been going to Thornhill Village Dental for what seems like my whole life. Karen has taken amazing care of me. Anytime I have ever had a problem she has quickly identified it and fixed it. I actually started going to Karen after I had a major problem associated with a tooth implant that was done incorrectly by another dentist. Karen is also incredibly skilled at the cosmetic side of dentistry and help correct flaws in my smile hat have been amazing for me.

Karen also runs an amazing dental practices. She is cost conscious and always tries to provide discounts where possible. Her staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Karen goes above and beyond in scheduling my appointments that work for my schedule. She is thoughtful and considerate and works around my needs, like my fear of needles. More important to me than Karen's professional quality and expertise (which I think most people expect from their professionals) Karen is a truly caring, funny, empathic and engaging person. My parents go to Karen and I have friends and colleagues that go to Karen.

Karren is basically a friend first and a service provider second. She genuinely cares about me and it shows every time I have an appointment with her. Karen makes going to the dentist a joy when for most people it is a chore. I could not recommend Dr. Karen Scherer and her team at Thornhill Village Dental highly enough to anyone looking for a new dentist, a dentist for their children or wanting to switch to new dentist that will take care of them for years to come.

As a grown man who is widely regarded as being really strong, cool and tough -- I'm embarrassed to admit that I am absolutely terrified of the dentist. However, after 5 years of skipping my annual checkup and reaching an impasse with my teeth, my teeth and I decided that our relationship needed professional "counselling". I had fond memories of meeting Dr. Karen briefly back in 2012. I felt I could trust her and that she would, in earnest, look out for my best interest and treat me with a level of compassion and empathy -- like I'm a patient, as opposed to a customer or client. I was correct. So first and foremost, Dr.

Karen -- who is a Doctor -- medically confirmed that despite my fear of the dentist, I am, in-fact, still very cool, tough and strong. We also did a visual inspection, some pictures, some x-rays, a cleaning, polish and then fluoride treatment. The entire process was easy and painless. Dr. Karen put me at ease, was understanding and mindful of my personal needs as a patient and left me feeling both reassured, and with a better outlook on my relationship with my teeth and gum health. My only regret is not seeing Dr. Karen sooner.

It is a bit further out of the way for me, but worth the extra travel time. Now my teeth and I are back on good terms and Dr. Karen informed me that some additional test results came back, and apparently I'm actually really funny and smart as well. Thank you Dr. Karen and team. I will now be visiting the dentist on a regular basis.
