Total Health Care

Total Health Care is a well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a rich history dating back to its founding as Constant Care Community Health Center, Inc. in 1968. In 1989, it merged with West Baltimore Community Health Care Corporation to form the current organization. As a non-profit, tax-exempt community health center, Total Health Care is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for communities in Greater Baltimore and Anne Arundel County, particularly those who are underserved, uninsured, underinsured, and at or below the 200% poverty line. Total Health Care operates multiple locations across the metro Baltimore area, providing a wide array of comprehensive healthcare services. These include adult and pediatric primary care, women's health (OBGYN, family planning, prenatal care), dental care (preventive, diagnostic, restorative), and a strong focus on behavioral health through their Center for Emotional & Social Health (CESH), which offers individual, group, couples, and family counseling for various mental health conditions and substance use disorders. They also provide immediate care, pharmacy services with discounted medications through the 340B program, and specialized services like infectious disease management (including HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C), and nutrition counseling. A key aspect of Total Health Care's mission is to provide accessible and affordable care. They offer same and next-day appointments, transportation assistance, and income-based sliding scale discounts for uninsured patients. Their commitment extends to offering care regardless of a patient's ability to pay, ensuring health equity.
