Awful, horrible, Dr. Paes bedside manner is abysmal. About a month ago, I had a fall at home that resulted in my two front teeth being cracked pretty badly to the point I would need to get permanent crowns placed. I have never had major dental work before, so all of this is new to me, and I was just trusting the professionals in this case. My first set of temporary crowns made by the assistant were the completely wrong color. I was upset, but like I said, not having a lot of dental work done before I didn’t know if maybe that’s the best they could do for temporary crowns done in the office. After speaking with my family and finding out it really should’ve been a better color match, especially for my two front teeth, I called back the office and was rescheduled for the following day. I was told by the assistant “oops I went into the supply closet and grabbed the wrong color” frustrating, but once she was able to do the right color, I felt relieved and felt overall less anxious about my upcoming appointment for the permanent crowns. Besides numbing Dr. Paes was not present or did not check the crowns. Two weeks later, I went for my appointment for my permanent crowns, which went horribly .

After the temps were removed, he placed the permanent ones in my mouth to make sure they fit, and it was a color match. This would’ve been the time to realize any issues, however, my mouth was bleeding so heavily at this time that the permanent crowns were tinged with blood so I couldn’t get an accurate look at the color … Again, not having done this experience before I was trusting the professionals. He placed the permanent crowns, left the room and immediately I saw they were not the right color. The Assistant agreed with me that it was one color shade off. When Dr Paes came back into the room, he treated me absolutely horrible . I honestly don’t think I would be writing this review if it was just a simple mistake that he owned up to, acknowledged, and was willing to help me fix. He berated me, treated and scolded me as if this was my fault and I was one of his employees. When it was proven to him in many different ways by looking at the lab slip, by comparing my teeth to the samples, even him trying to quiz me to ask, which is lighter and darker, I was still made to feel like this was my fault, never any acknowledgement that this could be fixed. Yes, I was holding back tears, but I was calm. I did not use any inappropriate language and ultimately just wanted a solution. He told me to calm down multiple times, and accused me of accusing his trusted lab of messing up dozens of people‘s teeth because it couldn’t just be mine.

I was never looking to place blame, truthfully, I do think it was the lab that ultimately did the wrong color, however, there were no checks and balances done in his office to ensure that it was right. As a medical professional myself, I have never spoken to a patient this way. After leaving the office, the secretary called me to schedule a follow up, I was then crying on the phone at that point, I think it’s been made clear that I was unhappy or upset with the situation. It’s been two weeks since this I have not heard a word from Dr. Paes in acknowledging the mess up or even worse, the way he spoke to me . If he could’ve just called and apologized, even said that he thought about it and realized the color was off and they would make it work, I would never write this review. He’s losing my entire family and extended family as patients, which may not be a lot to him, but I am horrified at the way he treated a patient for purely pointing out a mistake, that I have to live with and was absolutely not my fault. Unfortunately, for me, the only solution for according to my insurance would either be to wait 5 years and get them replaced or to pay out-of-pocket, which will be thousands of dollars.

I have been to many dentists, and I love this one, especially seeing Dr Forehand! I get very nervous with dentists and she made me feel very comfortable and was extremely accommodating, also hilarious! I love the office itself and all the people who work there. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

First time using the Center. Office was very professional and responsive. Hygienist was informative and thorough. Dr. Park was clear and made my decisions clear what the best treatment was to move forward.

Appreciate all services today. Only suggestion I would like to give, travel time to your office was 47 minutes. I received a text to fill out your forms 5 minutes before I had to leave. Maybe 24 hours prior to a visit hours before might be better. Thank you Russ Allik
