I've been coming here for four years. Dr. Phan does a great job on my fillings and crowns. People who knows me know that I'm terrified of shots. But when Dr. Phan does it, I barely feel a sting. I have four crowns from three different dentists here in Las Vegas and by far his looks the best. He really cares more about his patients well being then his own pocketbook. Dr.
Phan would take his time explaining what I needed to get done and the different options that are available. Never had I felt pressure on getting anything done. On Monday I'd called his office but they were closed. A minute later, I received a automatic text message from him. I told him I had a couple of chipped teeth and cavities and if he had any opening on Wednesday or Thursday. He said that he'll get back to me in a hour. Which he did and booked me in for 9am on Wednesday. I'm very thankful as I'll be flying to Thailand on Sunday for vacation.

I've been coming to this office for about 10 years and have experienced nothing but friendly service by the staff and a high level of skill and care by the Doctor. Yesterday was no different! A tooth of mine needed a bit of drilling in order to find out if a root canal was needed or not. Midway through the procedure an X-ray was taken to determine if a root canal was needed and it turns it the root canal wasn't needed! I appreciated the fact that the doctor does not do unnecessary procedures and saved me time and money.
My tooth was fixed and this wonderful place of dentistry has "kept" another customer happy! Keep up the good work Dr. Nguyen!

First issue - wouldn't see me for a CLEANING because I couldn't do X-Rays. They won't take new patients for cleanings without X-Rays being done. I understand that X-Rays are a nice bill for dentists, but there isn't anything on their website OR their new patient welcome letter OR the new patient call they gave me where they said that I had to do X-Rays first visit. Instead, they had me fill out all their paperwork and got me back in a dental chair only to make me leave. I love going to the dentist, but a dentist who won't see you without a large bill to your insurance first thing is one that is having financial trouble, full stop. I had already had X-Rays with another dentist this year who I really disliked, and the fact that he didn't even offer out-of-pocket X-Rays meant that, again, they are depending on that insurance bill. It is such a huge red flag with any new providers, I'm sorry. Second issue - every other form asked for your full SSN. Medical/dental billing in modern times does not need a full SSN - even the most antiquated verification systems only use last 4 digits.
Any modern office who is looking to avoid a HIPAA issue or an issue with their underpaid office staff (again, notorious amongst dentists) stealing people's identities would only ask for last 4 digits IF NEEDED. Again, most modern insurance companies don't even ask anymore, because an SSN is not meant to be a medical record identifier. Having your address, DOB, and SSN all on one form, even if it's a paper copy, is a huge data liability, and medical offices with low PHI/PII standards are the number one cause of medical data leaks leading to identify theft. Don't EVER fill out your full SSN on any medical form, EVER. Furthermore, the forms they want signatures on were blank with information or said that I had been provided with disclosures/notices that were not provided in the intake packet. All I got in the intake packet was the privacy statement. Nothing else - no disclosures, etc. It's a simple fix. Stop copying forms online and write your own disclosure forms.
This is the second Vegas dentist I've struck out with since moving here. I am really disappointed, because as I said, I actually like going to the dentist. I love the clean feeling in my mouth after I'm done with a cleaning. It's the best feeling in the world. This is lazy at best, insidious at worst. I'm just going to make an appointment with my old SoCal dentist and stick with them. Luckily I am in SoCal often enough to do this. But I really wanted someone local and it's just so disappointing.

Good dentist but dental assistant is subpar! If I wasn’t drowning from the pool of water not being suctioned properly by her during the procedure, then I was close to choking to death because she would literally put the suction tip at the back of my throat. The fact that the dentist didn’t correct her was annoying and weird because it’s his job to train her properly.
I’ve had better dental assistants so I know that they are supposed to care about the patient and make them comfortable, not gag them!
