Best experience ever at a dentist office. The team is upbeat, they have great personalities and the office ambiance is very positive. Glad we found them.

MONEY-HUNGRY Office. I had a crown fall out and searched for a dentist within my insurance network, which led me to this office. They said the original crown couldn’t be saved and recommended a replacement. I was given a quote labeled “Total Treatment Fee” for $2,049 — which, at the time, seemed fair (I’ve included a photo of the estimate). After the procedure, I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right. Once I paid my portion, the office received pushback from my insurance regarding the timing of the crown work. Instead of being upfront or working with me, they shifted the charges onto me — adding over $1,000 in fees that were never disclosed beforehand.

What’s worse is they knew the charges were questionable — offering a 30% discount to soften the blow. That tells me they knew they were in the wrong. During one of my early visits, I overheard Dr. Al Weatherford speaking condescendingly to another patient, saying, “Do you do work before getting paid? No. ” Hearing that in a healthcare setting was shocking. Later, when my insurance pushed back on their claim, he explained his emotions to me — like he was ready to break something. Totally unprofessional.

Also worth mentioning — although they market heavily to Hispanic patients, I heard staff treating them rudely and speaking to them in a very dismissive tone. Whether it was a language barrier or not, it’s no excuse for disrespect. During my final visit, they even tried to upsell me on products and services I clearly said I didn’t want — like a mouth guard — which just added to the feeling that this place is more about profits than patients. Whether it’s pressure from Trident to hit quotas or just plain greed, I will not be returning. If you care about honest, respectful, and transparent care — look elsewhere.

Love the Hanahan team they make me feel special! I will recommend them as often as possible, I posted a picture of their office sign on my Facebook page @ Rachel Carter Miller in March or April but it didn't reach N. Charleston I don't think 🤔 I saw them, yesterday for fitting my partials, May 22nd, and once again, Dr Al, and his team, are the best dental team, that I've ever had!

Chasity Blackmon

Dr.Weatherford is great!!! He fixed two of my teeth that I didn't think was fixable. He doesn't do ugly teeth. My teeth look brand new again. Wonderful work. The staff is amazing!!! Everyone has been wonderful on getting my mouth back to healthy again.
