I am giving this place 1 star, not for the service I received, but for their dismissal cancellation policy from their practice. Their services are great. have always been helpful and kind and that's all I'll say about that aspect. Just so everyone is aware, this establishments no show policy is absolutely ludicrous. Most places only count three no-shows towards dismissing somebody.
Not this place. They also include rescheduled appointments in their no-show policy. They say that people rescheduling appointments is very disruptive for their schedule and unfair to other patients who value prompt treatment. You wait 20 minutes or so after your appointment to get in so you don't value my time, or anyone else's. Also, what does my missed appointment have to do with somebody that has an appointment after me? They only have that policy because they don't want to miss out on the money they receive from insurance so they make it more stringent so it's quicker to get those people out.
I will take my business elsewhere that respects a mother who doesn't want to bring sick children into the doctor's office to infect other people, respects MY TIME and understands when someone cancels and even has called in to reschedule. I even saw a review where they wouldn't look in a child's mouth because they thought she had covid. Counting rescheduling appointments towards no shows. Absolutely ridiculous.

First of all Ive been going here since I was a child. I have bad teeth and am extremely prone to cavities due to my saliva and just overall genetic weak enamal. So I got my newest filling in the collection and off the bat i knew this was just off. My bite shifted and my tooth was in extreme pain for 3 months. Anytime I would call I would be told this was normal. So I waited and it got so extreme to the point I needed to go elsewhere.
I was overdosing on Tylenol and melatonin to try to sleep the pain away. This leaded to a bit of depression for being in this much pain and sleeping so much. Well now my bite is screwed and I may need brackets to fix my shifted bite. 3 stars because other than this Ive never had any issues.

My daughter has been going to this place for 13 years. We had always been given good service. However, we had a different DA (Jean) this last visit than we have had before. We had never ever have been treated so badly in our entire lives. She was only interested in pushing extra services and rushed us through the cleaning and examine. Told the Dentist that she thought my daughter had Covid too because her allergies were acting up. So, the Dentist wouldn't even look at her teeth.
She didn't even take off the bib and schedule us for the next visit. Told us to leave immediately and go to the lobby. We just left and decided this will probably be the last time they see us. So sad it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. I am definitely not risking the chance of getting that DA again.

Sweet Balance
I've been a loyal patient at Churubusco Family Dentistry for over five years now. Despite its location in a small town, the clinic exudes a unique charm and warm hospitality. The staff is not only friendly but also highly knowledgeable, making each visit a comfortable experience.
Their pricing is surprisingly affordable compared to what is typically charged in urban areas, a fact I can personally attest to having tried both. I am more than willing to take the extra miles for the exceptional service I receive at a family-friendly rate, and I intend to continue doing so.
