The clinic's primary mission is to offer accessible, affordable, and tailored oral health care services to both adults and children in the community. It is particularly focused on serving individuals with unmet dental care needs, including those who have Medicaid or lack dental insurance, addressing a critical health disparity in the region. Services provided at this location are comprehensive and include general dentistry procedures such as exams, X-rays, routine cleanings, fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns, bridges, and dentures. They also offer implant restoration, treatment for toothaches and tooth trauma, management of dental anxiety and fear, periodontal (gum) care, cosmetic dentistry (including tooth whitening and veneers), and oral cancer exams and biopsies. Complex cases may be referred to specialists. Beyond patient care, the UofL Dental clinic serves as an important training ground for students enrolled in the University of Louisville School of Dentistry.
