Detailed Introduction

The UW School of Dentistry Graduate Endodontics Clinic is a specialized dental clinic located within the University of Washington's School of Dentistry in Seattle, Washington. Its primary mission is twofold: to provide high-quality endodontic treatment to patients and to serve as a comprehensive training facility for graduate endodontics residents. Patients seeking care at this clinic can expect to receive endodontic services, with a primary focus on root canal treatment. Other services include diagnosis and treatment for tooth pain or sensitivity, cracked teeth, and dental trauma. A key characteristic of the Graduate Clinic is that treatment is provided by licensed dentists who are undertaking advanced specialty training in endodontics (graduate students), under the direct and close supervision of highly experienced faculty members. This unique model allows the clinic to offer endodontic treatment at reduced fees compared to private practices, while ensuring a high standard of care. Access to the Graduate Endodontics Clinic is typically by referral only. A referring dentist must submit a referral form along with a periapical (PA) x-ray of the affected tooth. These cases are then reviewed by a faculty member to determine if they are suitable for teaching purposes. Not all cases are accepted, and there may be a waiting period, ranging from a few weeks to several months, due to high demand and the teaching nature of the clinic. The clinic is equipped for endodontic treatment only, meaning it does not provide general dentistry services such as fillings, cleanings, or crowns for other teeth. Patients requiring a crown after a root canal will typically need to seek that treatment elsewhere. The faculty and staff are committed to excellence in education, patient care, scholarly activity, and research, with many faculty members actively involved in leading dental organizations. The Department of Endodontics at the University of Washington is recognized nationally and internationally for its exceptional predoctoral and advanced education programs.

The initial visit was great. When scheduling out next visit we were told rescheduling wouldn’t be a problem as we had pending plans. After leaving multiple voicemails and no response I was finally able to reach the office manager. I was then told we wouldn’t be able to be seen until weeks outside of our necessary window. She was condescending and unhelpful.

She also relayed dr. s recommendations that were completely different than the information we left with. It was frustrating, upsetting and confusing. We will certainly NOT continue care here.

Unprofessional, Mean . The receptionist needs to be retrained or work somewhere else. Does the school care about these people at all? They don’t have a work ethic. They are making the school look bad.
