Very compassionate and kind. You don’t feel hesitant to talk to him your worries and concerns because he asks your first. The clinic is super immaculately clean with a large air filter machine. At this pandemic time, you should find a place you are safe. I am glad you e found him from a referral. Thank you for his assistant who gives us the best appointment day. Very friendly place

Dr. Izadi was very friendly and welcoming on the phone while arranging our appointment and when we arrived. My partner doesn't speak any English so I was prepared to attend her appointment with her to support and interpret. Dr. Izadi said it wasn't necessary (though he speaks no Spanish) and that he would let me know if they needed any help. I thought it odd that a doctor would not need to communicate with a patient, but let it go. A little while later they came back to the reception area and he told me that everything looked good and vaguely described replacing some fillings, then saying that she wasn't brushing properly and that her gums required extra care and recommended a product behind his desk, without saying what it was. He said it was $49 ($53 with tax).

My partner was using Medicaid insurance and so he knew that this would not have been an insignificant cost for us (or for most people), but obviously, when a doctor recommends something for your health, you take it seriously. We bought a bottle and made a follow-up appointment for 6 months from then. When we got home, my partner told me that she wasn't sure all that he'd done, but that he had filed one of her front teeth so that it was better-aligned with its partner tooth, but that it felt really uncomfortable and that her bite was now awkward. He obviously did not ask her consent before doing this procedure. The next day she said that a piece fell out from one of the fillings and that her molar was in great pain and very sensitive all of a sudden to changes in temperature or certain foods. She reported at this point that he had been rough with her and didn't want to go back. I then thought about that "magic gum rinse" that we'd spent $53 on and Googled the product. It's one pint of Peridex by 3M, and it sells for a whopping $11 online.

Obviously, when you find you've been taken advantage of, you question everything about that person and that interaction. So, basically, we have no idea of everything that he did in my partner's mouth, and as far as we know, no access to an online Med Chart for her appointment. He could have done any number of unnecessary things without understanding or consent to charge her insurance. Perhaps, if you speak English or Farsi, or know about dentistry, you will be just fine going to Dr. Izadi. I do not believe that we were, and we will not return, nor will we recommend his work. We will be finding a new dentist to check his work and to make sure that everything is okay, and I will never put my partner in that position again.
