Valley Dental restored my faith in dentists! A chance meeting on the NCR trail introduced me to Dr. Rafat, and I decided to schedule my first appointment. After some bad experiences at other dentists, I had given up on dental care for years but I needed help. Dr.

Rafat soothed my fears and really treats me like family. The whole team takes my concerns to heart and they insure great care and comfort. Dr. Kim has also done an amazing job rebuilding some troublesome teeth, I feel like a youngin again!

I am changing my review today because I had a terrible experience with their administration. My first visit was great! The dentists, Dr. Rafat and his wife, were amazing, as well as their dental technician-Lily. I was asked to return for my Invisalign and filling, so I scheduled an appointment. The day before my appointment, I called to confirm the time, and they informed me that the dentist would not be there. If I hadn’t called, no one would have notified me, and it would have been a waste of my time. I told them to reschedule my filling and Invisalign for today, March 12.

They did so, and on March 11, I called again to ensure the dentist would be available to do my filling, and the woman assured me that she would be. I let them know I would be late, and they said it was okay. When I arrived, I was taken to the room for the Invisalign pictures. Luckily, I mentioned that I had already had that done before, so they brought me back to the lobby to wait for the Invisalign payment. When I asked about my fillings, they told me I was not scheduled for that! I almost wanted to back out of the Invisalign, but since I had already paid, I wanted to go through with it. I’m frustrated with this experience, especially considering that I live far away. On top of that, the front desk staff were talking about a patient while I was in the waiting room.

They might have been discussing about me, which is completely unprofessional! I'm a nurse and never did I do this to my patients. On a positive note, I must mention that Lily, Dr. Rafat, and his wife were amazing! My husband and I had been looking for a dentist we liked, and we finally found them. I never felt rushed during my appointment, and everything was thoroughly explained. This is the first dental clinic that taught me the proper way to brush my teeth and gums using an electric toothbrush! I truly believe that prevention is better than cure, and I wish all dentists would prioritize this. The dentists were amazing, but I don't like dealing what I just experienced.

I haven't been to the dentist in awhile so I was really nervous. Everyone here was so welcoming and never once made me feel bad about myself or my teeth. I walked out and felt better about myself and ready to take better care of my teeth. Thanks again!
