Good care if you can get it. Good luck getting them to answer the phone or call you back. Students providing care are top notch. Thise who administrate & run the business side wirk for a government agency becausr no one in the real world would employ them! They do NOT answer the phone & do NOT call you back. Very unprofessional.

. . and they set the example for students! Your tax dollars at waste. I suggest you go eslewhere.

Our VCU Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery experience over the last year has been extroadinary! My son had to undergo upper and lower jaw surgery to correct his underbite deformity. The office staff and Dr. Shravan Renapurkar's assistants were always attentive and courteous. Dr.

Renapurkar and his associate physicians were all very attentive, patient, and welcomed all questions. Every procedure was clearly explained. This practice is a hidden gem!

Had a VCU dental student appointment on 5/29/25, which had been scheduled for approximately a month. Had previously confirmed appointment by both email and text and recently was reminded by VCU of appointment scheduled time and date. After driving for 1 hour from residence to VCU dental school was notifed upon entering the facility by security personnel that all appointments had been canceled due to the "boil water" alert by the city. Subsequent discussion with the appointment scheduler indicated the facility had been notified on 5/28/25, at 3:30 PM of the boil water alert by the city and instructions had been given to notify the patients their appointments were canceled.

Evidently no effort was made to notify me and I WAS NOT NOTIFIED, although I had been reminded by text, email and phone several times of when and what time my appointment was scheduled. This is unacceptable and indicates a significant problem with the patient communication process. This failure to perform resulted in a waste of time and expense for me. Needless to say I was extremely irritated and disappointed by this.

Since the school will be closing soon for the summer it is unclear when I will be able to receive a crown or filling on a month old root canal tooth.

The Oral and Facial Surgery department is top rate. Rachael in the front office is particularly helpful in all scheduling and billing questions and follow up with the professional team. Dr Irizaary, my oral surgeon is particularly good at explaining procedures, risks and outcomes. Christa who assisted is outstanding too.
