Wade T Ward, DMD

Dr. Wade Thurman Ward (1938-2021) was a distinguished endodontics practitioner who maintained a successful dental practice in Jacksonville, NC, for an impressive 52 years. A quiet, dignified, and humble man, he began his professional journey after teaching school for two years and attending dental school at The University of Louisville. He served in the U.S. Navy before settling in his home region of Eastern North Carolina. Dr. Ward was known for his gentle and caring demeanor, with many patients remembering him as a dentist who never rushed and always prioritized their comfort and eased their fears. In 2013, he, along with John M. Romulus, DDS, launched a new patient-focused website designed to educate the public on essential dental care practices. Beyond his dental career, Dr. Ward was a committed member of his community, involved in various organizations such as the ECU Chapter of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, American Dental Association, Monte Miska Dental Study Club, Jacksonville Noon Club Rotary, Crow Hill Gun Club, and Tarantella Supper Club. He passed away in May 2021, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service to his patients and community.
