Our experienced dental professionals are dedicated to providing you with the highest quality care.
We have been Wahl patients for the last 10 years and we’re very pleased with our previous visits. Dr. Peggy is no longer there and the new Dr is not friendly at all she treats it like an in and out and she clearly there just for the money and is not into building a lasting relationship with her patients.
She did not introduce herself to myself or my child during the visit and kind of rushed through my questions leaving me with unanswered questions to converse with the hygienist to get a better understanding of what is going on. I will not be back due to that experience.

I've been a patient, along with my wife and 4 children (teens and kids) at this practice. Everyone has always been friendly and wonderful. Especially, Dr. Wahl. I have never had a problem. . . . . . until today! I am not going back, and I plan to cancel upcoming appointments for my kids and wife. On a positive note, at least I remained polite and respectful even though I just wanted to leave. Today, I had Dr. Patel. It was my first time with him. Initially, he seemed okay, but he seemingly became condescending and disdainful. It began after he presented his diagnosis and treatment plan to me, and I sarcastically said it would probably be better to remove the molar instead of wasting time with a crown and root canal. His response was something regarding finances possibly influencing my decisions.
I thought to myself, did he just assume my financial situation and that I could not afford the treatment (even though I have 3 dental insurance plans). I ignored the comment and then asked if I could have a copy of the diagnosis, treatment, and films to send to my brother for his input. I told him my brother is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon (I remember when my brother got his DDS and our mom used him for gold filings lol). . . . . . but getting back to the topic. . . . . Dr. Patel replied with a belittling type of remark and even stated all my brother does is extractions. He made a couple of other snooty-ish comments, and I got the hint and I knew what exactly what Dr Patel was trying to insinuate. I was shocked. To me, that's like a general practice / primary care physician (MD) saying all a neurosurgeon does is brain or spine surgery.
Even an orthopaedic surgeon supersedes a non specialized doctor (in terms of the medical hierarchy). There is a pecking order, and the same applies to the dental field. That would be like a dental hygienist implying that a Dentist (DDS or DMD) knows nothing about their job and saying all they do is look at mouths all day. All occupations have some form of hierarchy. Dr. Patel should not have assumed or insinuated anything. My brother was a general dentist for about 8 years before he became specialized in OMS. I don't know if Dr Patel felt offended or has an inferiority complex, but the bottom line is that he should not have tried to insult my intelligence. Ignorance and arrogance do not prove competency. There was no reason for Dr Patel to criticize my desire to get my brother's feedback. If anything, second opinions are a good thing because they allow you to hear objective perspectives and make a more informed decision. Logically speaking (and this applies to anyone), if your brother is a lawyer, a doctor, a mechanic, etc. , you'd ask for their opinion on matters related to their area of occupation or knowledge. That's just common sense. I'm former state police, and I still get contacted by friends, family, and neighbors whenever they have questions about a ticket or law enforcement topics. Anyway, I think the Wahl atmosphere has changed, and they've lost respect for their patients. Seemingly, it's all just business, and patients are now just seen as "customers. " I'm so disappointed!

I am so happy I switched dentists. At my old Dentist they wouldn’t wait for the novocaine to kick in, they would just give me two or three shots until I was finally numb. Afterwards, my entire face would be numb for hours. Here they give a topical numbing and then do the shot and wait for it to get numb.
I used to always still feel it when they would fill a cavity and it would be very uncomfortable, but here I don’t feel a thing. Also, I love that these dentists are still people! They interact with you like a person, not a patient. I love coming to this dentist and it definitely helped me get over my anxiety about dentists.

I have been a patient of Wahl Family Dentistry for a very long time (35+ yrs) and have always been very pleased. However, during my recent visit I left feeling disappointed. I saw a new provider. Dr. Yaella. Well, the service did not come even close to what I have experienced in the past, from Dr.
Wahl or Dr. Schmitt. She appeared very disengaged, not really addressing my questions and appeared to be in a hurry to move on. Thank goodness for the Dental Hygienist, I believe she introduced herself as Sue. She was wonderful. Very attentive and professional, and caring!
