Summary: Fast, friendly, very competent and pain free! It doesn’t get any better than Walcott dental! Details: Yesterday, I visited Walcott Dental to have two of my teeth crowned. As is always the case with my visits to Walcott Dental, my experience exceeded my highest expectations! I first was greeted by Diane, a dental assistant. She was exceptionally friendly, inviting me to follow her back to one of the multiple rooms with a dental chair and other equipment which dental assistants, dental hygienists and Dr. Brett Walcott use. She had thoroughly reviewed the details in my chart and knew what to do to prepare me for Dr. Brett and her installing my two crowns. She made certain I was comfortable in the dental chair, and then she started to do the preparatory work for installing the crowns, such as taking X-Rays and giving me topical anesthetic in the areas which Dr. Brett would be giving me anesthetic shots. Diane was extremely courteous, warm, competent, efficient and professional, explaining what she was doing and why. She’s a consummate professional! Dr. Brett then showed up, discussing with me what he would be doing to install my two crowns. As is always the case with Dr.

Brett and the Walcott Dental team, he greeted me like a family member. Very importantly, Dr. Brett waited plenty of time for the topical anesthetic to take effect before giving me the anesthetic shots. This has not universally been my experience with all dentists! Many don’t give the topical anesthetic the time to work, as time is money. In then giving the anesthetic shots, Dr. Brett demonstrated his unmatched technique for making those shots pain-free. After giving me the anesthetic shots, Dr. Brett then waited for that anesthetic to fully take effect. He truly believes in pain-free dentistry! Dr. Brett and Diane then prepared my two teeth for the crowns, asking me throughout the process if I was experiencing any pain or discomfort. Dr. Brett will not hesitate to take the additional time to provide more anesthetic and wait for that to take effect.

This is unheard of, as most dentists are simply looking at their watches and thinking, “The faster I get this done, the more money I can make!” Then, I waited in the dental chair until the crowns were made on-site by other team members of Walcott Dental. That is so much better than the traditional way of having to wait days for an outside lab to build my crowns!!! So convenient and fast!! Dr. Brett and Diane then efficiently and very competently installed my crowns. Again, this was all pain-free and quickly done, by two people who were treating me as best friends or family members. It doesn’t get any better than this!!!! Dr. Brett, in what is his typically thorough manner, identified an area in a nearby tooth which deserves evaluation by an endodontist. He referred me to one who is the best in the Ann Arbor area. Then, I briefly spoke with Nikki, the office manager for Walcott Dental, who epitomizes friendliness, warmth, competency and efficiency. She is just fantastic, and always with a huge smile and ready to answer any and all questions! In summary, my visit to Walcott Dental could not have been better! It was on-time, pain-free and very professional and cordial. It doesn’t get any better than Walcott Dental! Oh, and there is plenty of free parking. Plus, the only office is open, airy and extremely clean!

Had to have crown. had never had one before so did not know what to expect. Dr Walcott explained everything beforehand and then he and his staff made the experience so easy, efficient and, yes. . .

painless. I read a lot about people getting temporary caps and having to return for the crown at a later date. I really appreciated having the whole procedure done in 1 appointment (the whole thing was about 75 minutes). highly recommend!

Walcott Dental is a great place for all kinds of dentistry work. The office is clean and cheerful. Teresa did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. She is warm, friendly and gentle. Dr. Brett is the best. I highly recommend Walcott dental.
