Their services include comprehensive sleep evaluations, which are often the first step in identifying underlying sleep issues. The in-clinic studies provide a detailed analysis of sleep cycles, brain waves, and physiological activity, while home sleep tests are designed for ease of use, allowing patients to monitor key sleep data in the comfort of their own homes. Home sleep tests are particularly useful for diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea. The clinic focuses on treating common sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), central sleep apnea, insomnia (difficulty falling or staying asleep), narcolepsy (excessive daytime sleepiness), and restless legs syndrome. Treatment plans are personalized based on the diagnostic findings and may include various approaches like continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy, oral sleep appliances for sleep apnea, and behavioral therapies for insomnia. They also offer treatments like Nightlase, a laser snoring treatment. The Washington Center for Sleep emphasizes a patient-centered approach, aiming to provide thorough diagnoses and effective treatments to improve patients' quality of life. While specific accreditations for this particular center are not explicitly stated in the provided search results, reputable sleep centers are often accredited by organizations like the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), which signifies a commitment to high standards of patient care and adherence to established guidelines in sleep medicine.

I'm glad that switched from another dentist to Dr. Koogler. He's a lot more professional, knowledgeable, and care more about my problems. The oral appliance he provided to me is very well designed and good quality. Also, Dr. Koogler is in my insurance network, so all those good service is covered by my insurance.

More about the oral appliance - It's very well and smart designed so you can move your jaw freely, which means you can talk, drink water, etc. pretty much do anything with the appliance. (If someone tells you only their appliance allows your jaw move, that's incorrect. There are a lot more different styles out there. ) And all the parts of the oral appliance are big enough that you don't have to worry that you might swallow them.

I was referred to Dr Nick through my primary care. I am fit, but due to some structural issues of my jaw am prone to sleep apnea and have been using a CPAP for few years. Dr Nick shared with me an alternative to a CPAP called a sleep appliance… or what I would call a mouth guard. He patiently walked me through my questions and concerns.

I quickly became comfortable with the approach and engaged. I now love traveling without lugging a CPAP.

WA Center for Sleep was the best thing I came across in long time. Dr Nick K. Is a very thorough, easy to connect with, easy to understand, top notch Dentist that introduced me to something better than a CPAP machine. The oral appliance “aka mouth gaurd” amazing results from all of the benefits of NO snoring. The mouth gaurd sets your jaw forward NOT allowing your jaw to settle back and NOT allowing your tongue to settle back thus cutting off your air flow. The best is….

It fits in a pocket when traveling. NO more hauling your CPAP machine around. Thanks Nick. Troy C.

I want to thank Dr. Nick Koogler for his help in fitting me with my high quality oral appliance which enabled me to finally put away my CPAP machine, which I have been using for 15 years. He was very thorough and professional as well as great to work with. In addition, he also gave me lots of other tips for getting a good night’s sleep which have made a big difference. Thanks again Dr. Nick!
