I am new to DC and was concerned about finding a new dentist. I have been with the same dentist in GA since 1999. So glad I found Water Brook Dental! From my first phone call through check out it was a very good experience. The office staff is kind and helpful. The hygienist explained everything she was doing and what I need to do to keep my teeth healthy.

Dr. was nice and answered all my questions. They're keepers.

Recently after obtaining dental insurance, I was able to see a dentist for the first time in four years. After extensive research and not finding any particular dentist in the area with great reviews, the best I found was Water Brook Dental. Setting up my appointment was easy and it was not located too far from home. That is where the positiveness ended. I showed up to my appointment early, only to find that the door to the office was locked. After pounding on the door for ten minutes, I was finally able to get into the office as someone was leaving. To my complete surprise, the office was packed with few seats available in the waiting room. After filling out my paperwork, I continued to wait for THREE hours after my appointment time to be seen.

When I was finally taken to the back, I was greeted my a disgruntled staff member and taken to an area under construction. Following having x-rays, I was taken to the examination room (again passing much construction). I was seen by two different dental assistants who picked and prodded at my teeth with little finesse telling me of my ailments. After my teeth were poked at, I was told that I had gum disease and two cavities. I did not have my teeth cleaned nor did I ever see Dr. Shaw, who I scheduled my appointment with. I was then advised to schedule an appointment to have my teeth deep cleaned. I reluctantly scheduled and left.

After this experience, I immediately began looking for a new dentist. I was able to identify a new dentist; however, I was advised to obtain my x-rays that were previously taken and to bring them to my new appointment. The effort to obtain my x-rays from Water Brook Dental was appalling. After a month of phone calls and lack of response I was finally able to obtain a computer print out on half of an 8 1/2 by 11 piece of paper. Needless to say, I had x-rays taken again in order to never have to deal with this incompetent establishment again.
