This is about Dr. Alan's unprofessional behavior and the team's misconduct. During a referral appointment, I was presented with a treatment plan involving a CBCT scan and a possible root canal. I chose to delay the treatment because 1) I wished to first consult my referring dentist about whether the root canal was necessary. 2) I notice some charge should be 100% covered by my insurance, but was put as 100% on me, so I'd like to check my insurance plan before make the decision. However, I later reviewed the report sent by the endodontist to my dentist, which contained the following statements: “We would be able to review more once patient. . . , but she didn’t wish to .

. . due to COST. ” “Patient was CONCERNED and FRUSTRATED about cost. ” These statements are both inaccurate and inappropriate. I never said I declined the CBCT due to cost, nor did I express frustration. These remarks were inserted into a professional document shared with another healthcare provider, giving a misleading impression of my intentions and financial situation. The tone and content of these statements were unprofessional, irrelevant to the clinical decision, and appear to serve no purpose other than to discredit or demean me. This has undermined my trust in the provider and, AS A RESULT, affected the opinion of my general dentist.

Also, after I confirmed with my insurance company, their charge on the CBCT is wrong, it is 100% covered. I called back to correct this charge plan before my next appointment, the response I got was "you are more than welcome to find another choice". They were very arrogant and rude to my reasonable request, and refused to fix their mistake. I saw another review said " paid more than double out of pocket". It's very rare that an in-network provider can make mistake for insurance coverage, they were reported twice. I will a IDPFR complaint about the unprofessional dental report, and will also report to my insurance company about the misconduct.

My experience with the staff and Dr. Alan Commet of Water Tower Endodontics was exceptional. Scheduling was a breeze as was filling out new patient paperwork. Reminders were sent as needed and there was full transparency with pricing (they are not part of my dental plan) the cost was well worth the extraordinary care I received. The office staff is professional and friendly. Especially Lilia who will close the deal with a smile.

My root canal went well as Dr. Commet, was very personable and he explained the entire process before he got started. He continually checked to make sure I was comfortable (no pain) throughout the procedure. I will recommend them to family and friends if endodontic treatment should be needed.

I have an incredible fear of the dentist due to past experiences. This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a dental office. Everyone made sure I was comfortable and they were so incredibly kind and caring. I had no pain, they were efficient and explained everything. I recommend this office to everyone!
