I have been working with Dr. west and her lovely team of professionals since pre-covid, when I was experiencing significant jaw pain and dental issues resulting from an underdeveloped lower jaw. While jaw surgery had been suggested to me in the past, I did not have the means nor the inclination to undergo such an invasive and (in my mind) risky procedure. In 2019, with worsening jaw pain I decided to get opinions from several local orthodontists and dentists. West orthodontics was one of them, and seemed the most experienced and professional by far. Between Dr.

west and the maxillofacial surgery team at UofM, I was able to undergo Invisalign treatment in conjunction with lower jaw surgery, something I didn't think would be possible. Dr West stayed in touch with me throughout the process and had me in for many, many visits as needed to adjust my treatment and respond to any issues I was having. Even now, years after surgery and with a (finally!!) perfect bite, I am able to reach out to her and her team with any questions (now, thankfully, just regarding aesthetics 😝). This is probably the only medical office I legitimately don't dread going into. I look great and I feel great, and I owe that in large part to the team at West Orthodontics. I highly recommend.

PS-- paying for orthodontic work can be scary, especially if you're a young person handling medical stuff on your own largely for the first time. The team at West was pretty dang understanding of my anxiety around the investment and worked with me on a payment plan I felt good about, and were honest about the costs (and what was medically recommended vs aesthetic). I think this matters a great deal.

My experience here has been amazing! They take excellent care of my son, he has autism and adhd and bad anxiety and typically he gets anxiety going to certain appointments but this place eases that and along with the atmosphere makes us feel welcomed, it’s comforting to kids like my son. Great and very nice staff as well! I know he’s in good hands coming here.
