My 4 year old daughter has a lot of health issues, she sees about 7 specialists, her whole life. She is due for a bone marrow transplant and her team wants to make sure her oral health is taken care of first. As she cannot have any major work done post 1 year transplant. She has been complaining about her teeth for almost 2 weeks now. I took her in last Thursday and they told us she has multiple cavities that they’d have to put her under for. They then proceed to tell me the wait list is 3-6 months or even up to a year.

I even asked them if there was someone else who can do this then, and that seemed to offend them. “we’re the best in the area”. I don’t care , my daughter can barely eat or sleep without breaking down telling me it hurts her. Her father & I took her to the ER, 2 nights ago, and they urged us to get her cavities fixed ASAP. I will be looking into other options since “the BEST” can’t do anything for her.

My son is 15 months - so a bit on the earlier side for needing dental care, but we decided to get him in and I had no problem scheduling! I LOVED this office. Dr. Thomas Bouwens was great with my son (even through his screaming and swinging - sorry 🫠😅) and was able to help me confirm my teething suspicions and gave great advice on helping brush his teeth and what dental care should look like for him moving forward. The hygienist worked at lightning speed to get him his prize afterwards (you know because he was still yelling 🙃) and that INSTANTLY chilled him out.

The actual exam for him was only like 2 minutes - quick peak and a fluoride treatment. We were in and out in 20 minutes or less. Thank you for making such a daunting experience as good and easy as possible 🙌🏼

Hadn’t had any problems really until my daughter’s appointment today. Dr bolt was extremely rude with her when she was scared and crying kept saying “stop crying” “why are you crying” “we’re not going to do this, you need to stop” not very empathetic at all. She’s SIX. The hygienist wasn’t all that great either normally you would expect people working with children to explain what they are putting over her face and the steps they are going to take to get her fixed up.

like I said she’s only six She’s going to be scared and it didn’t help having a dr sitting in her face yelling at her. Makes me scared to bring her back and concerned about what she endured when she had to go under anesthesia two other times there when I wasn’t allowed to stay with her.

Dr. Biddle and the staff at West MI Pediatric Dentistry are fantastic! This was my 8 year old's first "procedure" at the dentist and it couldn't have gone any better. They were very kind and personable which put my daughter at ease, and they also explained the diagnosis and treatment proposal well.

I appreciated the conservative approach to her care, the detailed instructions for follow-up care, and the smoothness of her entire treatment. The facility is neat, welcoming, and comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone!
