Was referred to Westshore Endodontics by dentist. . . Taryn Harreld n her staff were excellent friendly and patient. Root canal was painless n stressless 👍 Would highly recommend if specialist is needed! Only reason I didn't give 5 ⭐ is because.
. . Sadly to say they don't accept any kind of dental savings plan so I had to pay full amount $1300 for one root canal so that means I'll be heading elsewhere (Aspen Dental) for my other root canal.

While, I believe I received a quality service (root canal), there are other factors that must be taken into consideration. I had a root canal at this office last June. I paid my copay and the rest was covered by insurance. The front desk person always had complaints about my Delta Dental insurance and apparently had no idea about submitting a pre-treatment estimate. I remember when I was trying to make my appointment that she told me I had called the wrong office. She forgot she had spoken to me at length and was supposed to be checking with my dentist for the referral. What could I do? This is a small town and there is only one dentist (Endodontic specialist) with decent ratings who took my insurance.
Insurance was the only reason I went to this office for my root canal. Today I received a bill from this dental office for several hundred dollars that stated the balance was 90+ days past due. What? Nobody with good credit who makes a point of paying bills on time can get a bill marked 90+ days and not have an uptick in their blood pressure. I knew it was fake news, but it's just another thing on my plate that I don't need. Why can't the billing person at Taryn Herreld do her job right so my time isn't wasted and I am not irritated for no reason? I sent screen shots from my insurance company portal which clearly indicated the correct charges. The billing person complained (last June) to me that she had to call my insurance company and wait on the phone. Contrast this with my regular dentist whose front desk person verified my insurance while on the phone with me when I was making my first appointment.
One other thing. Taryn Harreld - introduce yourself when you come into the room and there is a new patient there. It's called manners. Anything less is just rude. I wonder what would have happened if I had not asked you, "Who are you?"

The front desk staff needs to work on their customer service skills. The lady who called me (unsure of a name but sounded older) to reschedule my appointment was extremely unpleasant and treated me as if I was trying to scam them or waste their time when I simply had to cancel (one time, mind you. This wasn’t my fifth time cancelling or anything crazy like that) due to a clerical issue on the backend of my insurance that was out of my hands. My policy was supposed to start, but didn’t right away, again, an error completely out of my hands, as we all know how it feels to be in pain and at the mercy of your insurance.
There was very little empathy for the pain that I was in or my situation that I certainly didn’t ask for or want to have happen. Luckily, this office didn’t even end up accepting my insurance in the end, and I got to go somewhere where I wasn’t treated like a burden for simply being a human that had a real life situation happen to them.

Referred for root canal and after scans and initial evaluation Dr. Harrold indicated the likely outcome would be poor and did not recommend proceeding. Discussed options. Very thorough and honest. Staff was very nice and appointment was on time. Highly recommend.
