This dentist is one of the best I’ve been to. You should know I’ve been to many dentists across multiple states so that’s really something special. I felt comfortable the entire time. Everything was explained clearly in a nice way. 💯

I needed a new dentist after not having one for a few years, and I decided to try WestSide Dental after reading their reviews. I will start off by saying that the new patient process was seamless, and the front desk staff and hygienists are very friendly. However, after my visit, I felt a bit overwhelmed and discouraged by the information that they gave me. I was told that I had periodontal disease, with 4mm and 5mm pockets throughout my mouth, and I'd need an invasive SRP procedure to clean out all debris. Then, they told me that I'd need cleanings every three months until I'm back on track for the upcoming year.

They also told me that I'd need multiple crowns because my fillings were "fractured," and spoke with me about Invisalign before and during my first visit, without examining my teeth first. The procedures they were recommending were obviously not going to be covered by insurance completely, and all of this would've cost thousands of dollars. I decided to get a second opinion at an office that doesn't do cosmetic work, and I found out that I in fact do NOT have periodontal disease, and my pockets are only 2mm-3mm. No fillings are fractured, and I won't need any crowns at all in the foreseeable future. A thorough exam & cleaning was done and I was well on my way with no issue.

I decided to write this review after leaving the second office, as I felt like I was being pressured or mislead into doing work that wasn't actually necessary. It was a big disapointment, as the staff truly was friendly, but I'd encourage all future patients to seek other opinions after visiting this office if it's beyond what you were anticipating. I don't want anyone being scammed into spending money when it's not completely needed.

If you are in search of a new Denist office.. don’t walk, but RUN to Westside Dental in GR. They are seriously the best. Every single staff member I have interacted with are so kind and helpful. The dentist there are so great! They do amazing work and plus the office is SO nice. I love it so much there.
