I like the Dental Hygienists and the Drs (but I get a different Dr. every single time so I think it lacks consistency) but the Office and Billing staff are an absolute nightmare. I have been with this office for five years but the events in the last week have pushed me over the edge and I will no longer be working with these guys. A few years ago, I had my wisdom teeth removed and I paid an hefty upfront fee. A few months later I was going through my insurance dental claims and I realized that the insurance paid Wheatland a lot more than expected and I was owed $700. When I asked the billing staff if they would have paid me back if I didn't call? They declined to answer. . . . pretty sure that they are sitting on $100,00's of dollars of overcharges. Same thing happened with my cavities two years ago.
I let it go again. However last week, the billing staff called me and demanded that I pay my sons wisdom teeth removal cost of $1,600. 00 that happened 11 months ago (June 2024). I was very confused because this was the first I ever heard of it and Insurance was to pay the cost. I called my Insurance and they told me the claim was not submitted by Wheatland. I called the billing staff and asked to speak to a manager - I let her know that I was not OK with the demanding and demeaning tone of her staff when I was not even aware there was a problem for 11 months. She told me she would conduct an audit and contact me back in a few days (which she did not - I had to call her) Additionally, lo and behold, the Insurance paid the claim in the next few days as it seems Wheatland finally submitted it but according to Wheatland it was the Insurances fault. and guess what? I overpaid again. Wheatland had to pay me back $160. Bottom line. .
. . it seems they are habitually overcharging to make more profit. I'm pretty sure people are not checking as meticulously as they should regarding the overcharges and Wheatland is taking advantage of that. Three strikes was it for me. . . . I'm done. Plenty options out there.

Dr. D. and the entire team were incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in to check out.
You can tell they genuinely care about their patients—not just about teeth, but about people. Everyone had such a kind and pleasant personality, which made the whole visit feel easy, welcoming, and comfortable. I really appreciated the friendly atmosphere and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality care with a personal touch!

The billing department is a total joke. I received a bill the last week in April 2025, stating I had a balance 60 days outstanding. Was a surprise to me, because this was the first bill I received this year. I went into the office in early May asking when did they send the first original bill. The reception told me via email.
Informed her I did not sign up for ebills, and past practices bills were sent via US Postal service. Informed the billing clerk that I will pay the total balance on May 30th 2025 and to note my account. This past weekend I received a final reminder notice dated May 17th 2025 stating I must pay 10 day of the date shown on the letter, or they are going to send me to the collection agency. How are you sending me to an OCA when you have not rendered the first original bill until April, also had a discussion with your billing clerk on the exact date when I'm making the full payment. This happened to me before where one bill was produced that I received, and sent to an OCA for 60 days outstanding, and no manager returned my call and you can never speak with a live billing agent over the phone.
I have had dual insurance all my life now all of a sudden I have these surprise charges to pay more out of pocket, when I've paid my deductible, not being able to give me a firm estimate, of their treatment plan prior to the work. From past experience working in collections, normal businesses send customer to the collection agency 120 days, but your establishment send customers at 60 days on the first noticed ever received. Very poor billing and collection process.
