Crown fell out after ~2 years. Came back in and was charged for the reapplication of the crown with another core buildup(filler). Crowns falling out prematurely is pretty rare. I've heard some dentists will re-seat it for free, since it is for free.

The crown fell off again 2 months later, but this time the core did not come with it. Maybe they didn't shave it down correctly or what, but crowns are pretty expensive, so maybe find somewhere that will do it correctly the first time so they won't even need to charge you to fix it.

Awful experience twice now for a cleaning in December 2024 and a deep cleaning yesterday May 2025. OMG. I take care of my teeth and haven't needed to go to a dentist in 15 years. . . . my insurance kept offering gift card incentives to get services done such as yearly dental, mammogram, annual wellness check-ups, so fine, i made an appointment. The office is nicely decorated and the front desk staff is so pleasant and the reception area music is excellent so I'm at ease going in. Once i go back to get X-rays i immediately recall why i hate going to the dentist. The X-ray machine is giving the tech some trouble so she has me biting down with this heavy large gadget in my mouth for a long time while she fiddles with the machine. This is painful as the apparatus is big and digging into the inside of my cheek in order to get a side shot of my teeth. After some time i let go stating i just can't hold this heavy thing in my mouth any longer it's very uncomfortable! She apologizes, fine, but then the other side of my mouth we go through the same thing!! I get to the cleaning part of the visit finally and the tech was super gentle, much appreciated. She informed me though that i need a deep cleaning and they will need to authorize it from my insurance and let me know if they can schedule.

I assumed it would take a month to get confirmation. 4-months later the dentist reached out to me stating good news it was okayed by insurance. I take the day off work to also go to my primary care doctor right afterwards. I'm not joking when i say this was the worst dental experience of my life, and I have had 2-wisdom teeth removed. The dentist approached me with a needle without preparing me, telling me or advising me what she was doing! Since when are shots required for a deep cleaning? Had she told me that would be recommended I would have declined. I have a real problem with needles. Shot 1 went into my gums, Shot 2 inner upper lip, and i am tearing up now, then shot 3 and 4 on the other side of my mouth. I pause and almost I swear jump out the chair wanting to leave it was so painful. Anyone messing around in my mouth is just torture to me, and i know pain, as I've had 2 natural childbirths. A bad headache is forming. The dentist then tells me the insurance is only covering half my mouth basically. There are 4 quadrants, the insurance is only covering 2 randomly. The right upper, the bottom lower? Defeats the purpose in getting me down here for a deep cleaning to only do half a job.

Again, tell a patient this in advance so i don't waste time off work to come to get half my mouth done!? She then offers that I can pay for the other half outta pocket for $400 or $370 at a discount since my insurance is covering the other half. LOL!? Seriously? I'm a Medicaid patient which they know full well means I am low income. So I walk in thinking my deep cleaning is covered because that's what the office tells me upon calling ME for this appointment. Now that I'm in the chair you want me to take $400 out of my limited funds to pay for a deep cleaning? Going to the dentist these days is just like going to a car dealership - and we all know that feeling of being taken advantage of when we see it. The worst part is yet to come as the dentist is scraping away at my gums which i can feel, and it hurts so bad, I'm bleeding and they are both trying to make small talk after I'm sure talking sh*t about me in private huddle before they began (also got that feeling). They tell me my gums are bleeding from "bacteria"; not the mental tools they just used to scrape the life out of my teeth?? ok. I get to my next doctor's appointment and I'm so upset and in pain that my blood pressure is 195/104. They immediately want to do an EKG because it's not coming down and I have a heart condition. I explain i just came from the dentist and I can't feel my face and i was shot with Novocain 4 times which was painful. Worse day ever, never going back, and I hope I win the lottery so i can afford top notch pain free medical services like a Kardashian in the future. 😅

I didn’t have my insurance information correctly entered and it took me 15 minutes past my appointment start time to get them. They were patient with me and still got me in when I was able to provide the insurance information. I appreciate their diligence in keeping me from being overcharged and ensuring that everything would be billed correctly.

I also needed 2 fillings and they got me in the next day.
