On a journey for new dental home and ran across this place via social media. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable. The process was smooth to check in and prepare for exam and cleaning. When I went to the back I immediately felt a weird feeling come over me. The dental hygienist seemed new or nervous, but she gave me anxiety. As she’s doing my X-rays, she was shoving the thing in my mouth creating a gag sensation. After the fifth of six time, I notified her and she chuckle as if it was funny, but at this point I’m annoyed. There were 18 pictures for the X-rays that had to be done for this sitting before my cleaning. For 16 out of 18 X-rays, I experienced discomfort because of how rough she was.

In the miss of the X-rays and pictures being taken, we had to switch rooms and I immediately became weirded out. This is a fairly big office and it was extremely empty and I’ve never experienced that at a dentist office. As the dentist comes in, he seems personable and informative. I’m thinking he’s coming in to do a review and his examination before he gives clearance to the hygienist to do the cleaning. Well the cleaning never happened. As he’s poking my gums, he’s going to town and saying ranges I’ve never experienced while attending a dentist. I pride myself on my dental hygiene, so I was a tad off put when he shared I would have to get a deeper cleaning that’s not the standard cleaning. Keep in mind when I brush my teeth (top of line oral b spin brush) normally I do not experience bleeding, however, the dentist overview was that my gums were inflamed and bleeding. So, after his review and evaluation, they made me get up go to the front desk and discuss the procedure and the cost.

I wasn’t expecting a cost given this was a routine dentist check up. After the high priority message they continuously shared regarding this manner, I considered it and was notified I was have to be numb and something didn’t sit right in my spirit. I went to the back to begin the procedure and I immediately just felt weirded out and decided to cancel. The lack of traffic in the facility, the three individuals on the office, and the overall experience just gave me bad vibes. After reading more of the reviews, billing issues seem to be a very fluid issue, so I am thankful that I followed my gut. I’m unsure if they are preying on people and forcing them to pay for things based on their recommendations rather than providing a service the customer ask for. I would say beware and follow your gut if you decide to give this place a try.

Office is very clean and Dr. Aguilar is attentive and sweet. He is always available for his clients. He is very gentle in his approach. Vicky is one of his assistant and she is so sweet! She will go out of her way to assist in anyway. They also have great tasting coffee!

Exceptional and timely care!! Took my boyfriend in for extreme tooth pain. We thought it had to be pulled but they managed to save it! Came home with no pain and they were able to fit us in same day!!! The receptionist, Vicky is SO helpful and kind! Made this such an easy visit. 10/10 recommend!

It is so unfortunate that, when the office changed names (From Advanced Dental Specialists to Wooded Hills Dental Care) and scope of service (went from providing oral surgery to now general dentistry), the negative reviews stayed in place. Wooded Hills deserves 5 stars! The newly opened office provides excellent care to all ages / walks of life! I’ve had the pleasure, recently, for Dr. Aguilera to perform dental work on my son and step daughter and I can honestly say that he is the best dentist I have ever met! He was so patient and kind to both kids. He took the time to explain every step so they (and I) understood.

The way he interacted with other staff members was very kind and respectful. He clearly cares for his patients and his staff. I loved walking into the office and feeling comfortable. The front desk person greeted me with a smile and offered some amenities while we waited our turn.

It was nice to have such positive experience at a dentist office. My family and I will be returning and we will surely spread the word of what a great experience we had!
