I have been a patient with Dr. Zolghadr for 6 years and counting receiving nothing but the best care! Her and Moira are always welcoming and very patient with you during your visit. Like most, visiting the dentist is usually a dreaded experience but with Dr. Zolghadr she makes it a pleasant one.

She tells you what you can improve, areas to pay attention to and even offers solutions to problems or imperfections she may notice but always allowing you to make the decision you without added pressure. She is very gentle and walks you through every procedure she is doing to make you feel comfortable and at ease during your visit. As a loyal customer for over 6 years, I highly recommend visiting, you will not be disappointed!

I have to get this off my chest. I went in to Dr. Zolghadr office in need of care. She didnt help me at all, but she took my money. She told me that i didnt have any cavities and wasnt infected. I knew she wasnt telling the truth because i was in pain. She did not listen to me and dismissed me. If i come to you in pain, listen to me. It felt like she was rushing me out of the office. Because of this, I didnt believe or trust her word, so i went to get a second opinion. Come to find out, i have three cavities on the right side of my mouth.

This means she lied to me or she didnt care enough to do her job. Im annoyed because i knew i had a cavity because I was in pain. She didnt care enough to help me. In a way, im glad she dismissed me. It let me know i shouldnt trust her word because she did not take the time out to actually help me. This is what im saying: listen to your patients. If im in pain, do your job. You didnt do your job but you took my money. Lesson learned.

I've been to several dentists over the years, but Dr. Zolghadr has been the ONLY dentist that has noticed signs of teeth grinding. I've been struggling with sensitivity issues for a long time and thought I just had weak enamel. . .

that I was going to live with that for the rest of my life. But Dr. Zolghadr was extremely attentive and noticed something that other dentists have missed. She offered me several solutions (during the day to practice not clenching my teeth, and possibly looking into a nightguard). I could tell she genuinely cared about my oral health, and wasn't pushing to sell something to me.

Fast forward to 6 months later at my next routine cleaning, my teeth has never felt better! I invested in a nightguard and my sensitivity has completely disappeared! I can enjoy foods again without any discomfort. The front desk staff has also been delightful during each of my appointments, and has made my experience that more enjoyable. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Dr. Zolghadr and her team!

My review is "zero" stars. Was my first time seeing this particular dentist. My appointment was at 9am. I arrived at 8:50 and the office was closed. This should have been a glaring red flag for me when I arrived at the office before the staff. Instead of prepping the patients, the staff are now running around frantically trying to get the office up and running for the day. The doctor, the hygienist and the receptionist arrived from 9:05 - 9:10. By this time another patient is also waiting with me, OUTSIDE on the stoop. We get in, I fill out all the paper work in the waiting area.

Am called back to sit in the chair at QUARTER TO TEN. Once in the chair, a clipboard with MORE paperwork is shoved at me and the hygienist is frantically asking me about x-rays from my previous dentist. They realize they can't get the x-rays from the previous dentist on the same day, but the doctor still proceeds to examine my mouth for all of NINE SECONDS. At 10am, she removes her gloves and says, "I will need your x-rays, I can't give you a full check up today. You'll need to make another appointment. " I then ask, "Are you going to bill me for today?" She replies, "Oh no! I'm just going to bill you for the exam I just gave you. " I roll my eyes and leave, knowing I am NEVER coming back to this chaotic office. I make another appointment with a better, more organized and more professional office 2 days later and actually have a full check-up. Here's the issue.

Zolghadr submitted a bill to my insurance company for the 9-second fake exam. That counted as my 6-month check up. When I went to the second dentist, the insurance company would not provide full coverage for that exam, so I have to pay out of pocket for that second "actual" exam. Zolghadr knew good and well she should not have billed my insurance company. What she did was legal, but a total insurance scam, which cost me out of pocket expenses for a routine check up, 1. 5 hours of sick leave for her office and 1 hour of sick leave for the 2nd appointment. If you're looking for a REALLY good dentist in the Alexandria area I highly recommend "Alexandria Old Town Dental" on Prince Street. I hope this review helps others avoid Zolghadr.
