Dr. Longo told me I needed a tooth extracted and a crown prior to my knee replacement. I sought a second opinion from an oral surgeon who told me there was nothing wrong with my teeth and that I didn’t need either procedure. Dr. Longo also told me that I could have these procedures up until the day before my surgery. I talked to the hospital doing my surgery and they told me that was not true. Any dental work needed to be completed 2 weeks prior to surgery. Dr. Longo is not ethical and is misinformed. Had I listened to him I would have had unnecessary and expensive dental procedures and quite possibly have had to reschedule my surgery.
