This provider is in-network for my insurance. They did not appear to be happy with this. So instead of honoring my insurance, they told me something that was not true, specifically that I had 50% coinsurance, but in reality what they did was file to my insurance that they were out-of-network and then charge twice the allowed amount that my insurance was willing to pay so that I would be liable for any overage charge essentially getting twice the amount they would have had they filed that I was in-network. Well, I called up my insurance and they verified this to be true so I am now not liable for that charge. Even though I'm fine I felt I should warn others. This Dr. even printed up a treatment plan with completely false insurance benefits (50% coinsurance) to make it appear legit.
