About
Dr. Bankhead was born and raised in Ogden, Utah and comes from a family of dentists. After graduating from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1994, where he served as the Class President for four years, Dr. Bankhead entered the three year Periodontal Residency at the University of Nebraksa in Lincoln. There he obtained his Certificate of Specialization in Periodontology and Master of Science Degree. His Master's Degree Thesis was on Bone Regeneration in Humans. At that time, his study was one of the first to show histological evidence on how bone regeneration works in human beings.Dr. Bankhead served on the faculty of Dr. Gordon Christensen's prestigious Practical Clinical Courses (PCC) in Provo, Utah for nearly 10 years. As a faculty member of PCC he taught dentists from around the world the surgical techniques utilized in Modern Periodontics and Dental Implantology. Dr. Bankhead has produced several videos demonstrating various periodontal and implant surgical procedures.When not working, Dr. Bankhead enjoys family time, skiing, cycling, and riding his motorcycle anywhere the open road takes him. Additionally, he is an avid fan of the Utah Jazz Professional Basketball Team.
