About
Dr. Alton Thomas was born and raised outside of Greenville, North Carolina. He attended Arendell Parrott Academy, and following graduation, he moved to Wilmington, North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Dr. Thomas received his Bachelor of Science in Finance, and he then moved to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, where he worked in sales and distribution for building materials. It wasn't long until, following an epiphany at one of his dental visits, that Dr. Thomas realized he had missed his calling. Having studied finance at UNCW, it was clear he needed significant schooling before heading off to dental school. Once his prerequisite coursework was completed through the College of Charleston, Dr. Thomas decided to take on what he calls a ``cultural experiment`` and moved to Portland, Maine, where he attended the University of New England to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. In his free time, Dr. Thomas enjoys anything having to do with water; surfing, wakeboarding, boating, and fishing.
