About
Dr. Amar's father is a pulmonologist who is highly revered by his patients, nurses, and colleagues in the medical community. As a result, Dr. Amar himself was exposed to the world of patient healthcare from a young age and knew he wanted to get involved as well. However, his father also often needed time away from the family for work and regularly missed events like basketball games. He wanted to find an area of healthcare that allowed him to have close relationships with patients while also preserving enough time to connect with his own family too. During Dr. Amar's junior year of college, he spoke with his cousin, who had just graduated from dental school and was studying to be a pediatric dentist. Learning about his work inspired him to shadow several different types of dentists and learn more about their positions. He quickly found that there was a lot to love about dentistry! Being able to positively impact lives on a daily basis, work directly with one's hands, maintain a strong balance between creativity and science, and alleviate pain within minutes was all enthralling. He knew that the dental field was something that he could excel at, would keep him excited, and would constantly challenge him to improve for the sake of his local community. And at the end of the day, what's more rewarding than making someone smile? Today, Dr. Amar couldn't be more pleased with his chosen career. Whether it's with a joke, a compliment, or the completion of a healthier smile, there's nothing better than Happy Teeth of Levittown!
