Care Philosophy

Born and raised in Atlanta, Dr. Dabney has had life-long aspirations of working in the field of dentistry. She began volunteering in dental offices while still in high school and graduated with an International Baccalaureate Diploma in Latin American Studies, minoring in Physics. As a result of her attending the magnet program for International Studies for all four years of high school and travelling abroad, she speaks Spanish very well. Dr. Dabney graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens, and earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biology. Before entering dental school, Dr. Dabney gained three years of proficiency in the field working as a dental assistant in downtown Atlanta. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2001 and has been working in the metro Atlanta area since then. To enhance her ability to deliver high-quality dental care, Dr. Dabney opened her own office, Beautiful Smiles Family Dentistry, in Lithonia in 2005. Her treatment philosphy emphasizes helping patients achieve their clinical and cosmetic dental goals healthfully and comfortably. Located conveniently near Stonecrest Mall, her spacious contemporary facility features low-radiation digital x-rays & many of the latest advancements in dental technology. The friendly staff members and other dental professionals there are well-trained and share Dr. Dabney's dedication to improving the overall oral health of our community by participating in local health fairs and school functions. The most recent addition to services available at Beautiful Smiles is the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. Dr. Dabney and her staff keep their clinical skills up-to-date by regularly attending continuing education classes and training seminars. Care is taken to practice evidence-based dentistry and incorporate only well-tested new technologies.
