I was apprehensive when my prosthodontist told me I needed two root canals. He referred me to Dr. Anasthasia Mischenko. The atmosphere at Bethesda-Chevy Chase Root Canal Specialists from a patients perspective is one of immediate comfort. Greeted by a friendly staff, you are lead to the examination room. To be made comfortable, I was offered a soft pillow for under my head by an able assistant. In her personable and friendly manner, Dr. Mischenko told me at every step of the way what she was going to do, asked me often if I was ok and comfortable. Her excellence and expertise became quickly apparent by the way she gave me injections into my gums. I barely felt them. She proceeded in an efficient, highly professional manner working on my root canals. I felt so secure and safe as she was working that I almost fell asleep. After experiencing acute pain due to an abscessed tooth on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend, Dr. Mischenko's office was able to get me in that afternoon with no problems. Dr. Mischenko was efficient, kind, and straightforward with me. Dr. Mischenko encouraged me to contact if my pain persisted over the weekend. I did and she called me back immediately and helped ease my worries about my pain. I had to visit twice to fix my tooth and the experience & care was second to none. Recommended highly!
