The thing I like most about dentistry is getting to meet new people every day. Each day is different than the last, and it definitely keeps life exciting. Education Dr. Koester received his dental degree and graduated magna cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL. He received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in Edwardsville, IL. Continuing Education & Professional Memberships Dr. Koester has completed advanced hybrid endodontic training, and is laser and Invisalign certified. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Delta Sigma Delta and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Nation Dental Honor Society. Personal Attention Professional Care “I look forward to keeping up on the latest techniques, technology and education opportunities available so that I can continually provide the best care possible. I treat all my patients like family, and would like them to see me as a caring and trustworthy doctor.” Life & Hobbies Dr. Koester currently resides in Carbondale with his wife Andrea. Community involvement is a priority for Dr. Koester. He participated in Free Dental Day in Carterville, and looks forward to becoming further involved in the Carbondale community. In his free time, Dr. Koester enjoys outside activities, hiking, golfing and tennis. When the weather doesn’t cooperate, he also enjoys watching movies with his wife.
